OK, so what is your "dream" MGM/Shout announcement? Mine would be the workprint version of RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. Runner up: RUNAWAY TRAIN

The Evictors (American International Pictures)

None of these films have been released on DVD by MGM before and none were produced under the MGM/UA umbrella. (Note: The Nest was released on DVD, but that was by New Concorde in 2001 with a full frame transfer.)

I'm thinking once we get through their never before released by MGM titles we'll start seeing the OOP MGM DVDs and then maybe the in-print, never domestically released to Blu titles.

OOP MGM DVDs:

Lifeforce (Cannon Films)
The Burning (Miramax)
From Beyond (Empire Pictures)
Night of the Comet (Thomas Coleman and Michael Rosenblatt Productions)
Squirm (American International Pictures)
Sometimes They Come Back (Dino de Laurentiis Communications)

In-Print titles, never domestically released to Blu:

The Fog (Avco Embassy Pictures)
The Howling / The Howling II (Avco Embassy Pictures)
AIP Roger Corman Films (American International Pictures)
AIP Vincent Price Films (American International Pictures)
The Incredible Melting Man (American International Pictures)
New Year's Evil (Cannon Films)
Ghoulies / Ghoulies II (Empire Pictures)
Well, I forgot that Deadly Blessing was part of the MGM deal, not Universal, but I believe that was also part of the Avco Embassy Pictures library.

I know a lot of people hate it but I don't mind watching it for what the film is... But would be nice if Shout / Scream Factory could release Psycho (1998) which is owned by Universal and Imagine Entertianment.

I know this is far fetched, but wouldn't it be awesome if Scream Factory got the rights from Sony to release the original Candyman. Now that would be something beautiful.

Actually it's not far fetched at all, but what's the point if they can't include special features?

I would take a bare bones release. Having the movie in Hi def is better then not having it at all.

I truly hope so, bootleg and VHS copies are too damned expensive. Even the TCM version isn't up to snuff.

I don't know why Amazon has their prices set so high for them. Maybe they're just a bit slow.

This title may have been mentioned before, but here is another one for your consideration:

FULL CIRCLE (a.k.a. THE HAUNTING OF JULIA) (1977):

After the death of her daughter, Julia Lofting, a wealthy housewife, moves to London to re-start her life. All seems well until she is haunted by the sadness of losing her own child and the ghosts of other children.

This has never been released on DVD in the US, and has been released in what is apparently a fairly shoddy DVD release in Europe. Their has been a decent quality widescreen print played on the Sony Movie Channel, but it has yet to be played again since the last showing.

I strongly doubt there will be a Scream! Factory release for the Trancers series. The sequels were all produced by Full Moon and the original, while produced by Empire Pictures, also appears to be Full Moon property as they're released or licensed numerous DVD sets for the Trancers series. If a Trancers series Blu-Ray were to be produced, I'd bet on it coming from Full Moon, not Scream! Factory.

Scanners could definitely use a special edition with the film properly synced.

maybe child's play is the box set having all 5 child's play films in one box set before the new Curse of Chucky comes out to dvd and blu-ray next fall!!
remember bride of chucky was on universal's slate to be released on 10/2 but it never happened!

I'm sorry, where is all this discussion of a box set coming from?
Did they hint at one somewhere?
