Watching the Super Bowl pre-game, and the image looks fantastic. The HDR gives a massive boost over SDR broadcast TV.

From what I have read on other sites the 4K HDR reviews of the Super Bowel were a mixed bag where some said it was great and some had opinions similar to mine. I guess it was also influenced comparing the 4K HDR to the local OTA and cable picture quality. |

I couldn't get it in HDR because the TV I was viewing it on isn't HLG compatible, but I did notice some compression artifacting. It was also in stereo.
However, compared to the Comcast network re-transmission, it looked a lot better. It just goes to show you how compressed cable and satellite feeds have become (like when the confetti rained down in the stadium, the Comcast image turned into one blocky mess), not that 4k streaming doesn't still need a lot of work. Some streaming devices did not play well with the 4k upconverted HLG signal even if you happened to have a TV with HLG. Apple TV, for one, didn't get HDR at all due to app compatibility issues. |

There were a few exceptions FiOS did use HLG and I assume in Europe HLG was used.
