Outside the specific film, the advanced technology involved with using live acting with photorealistic VFX where even all the facial movements are paralleled opens the doors for a awful lot of actor role expansion rather then elaborate applied costumes as currently done. In the realm of science fiction, fantasy, history this stuff they are doing now with VFX seems to make a lot possible. It also reminds us that the insertion of recently deceased actors could be better done then just correctly blended facial shots such as Fast and Furious and Star Wars examples when principals were lost before the film was completed.
It will likely allow Tom Cruise to act even longer. ![]() |

Well there haven’t been that many and I’m not aware of any specific revelations on that by the content providers. Although live HDR is generally talked about in a peak 1000 nit production environment with regards to converters, I do know though as HLG proponents strive to produce single workflows and in that vein I think their latest thinking is to monitor in the truck or control room at a nominal peak luminance of 600 nits.
