Default An Eye For An Eye

Modified the title treatment on the cover to make it closer to a theatrical one sheet. Custom back and spine.

Default Ghost Dog

Ran across a couple of very interesting images for Ghost Dog that I wanted to incorporate into a cover. This is for the German BD (sort of).

My last Paranormal activity cover... ever!

Instead of Volume 1 (3 movies) and Volume 2 (3 movies), I've decided to put all 6 movies in a 6-Disc Blu-ray case to save even more space.

Does anyone happen to have a scan of the actual 3D Blu ray artwork but with this cover, without the Samsung info on the bottom, for the front? I'd like to use the retail back, not the Samsung exclusive.

I am pretty sure only the Samsung exclusive had this cover. If you find one, I would like it too. I like this cover so much more than the retail release.

Default Citizen Kane

Here’s my first (and last!) faux Criterion cover. It’s sized for the 2-disc Criterion clear keepcase (available from Casetopia), and is made to house the Warner digibook edition. That release commemorated Citizen Kane’s 70th anniversary, and was a decent special edition with a near-perfect HD presentation of the film. Without a doubt, Criterion would have produced an exemplary Blu-ray edition of this film—especially in light of its seminal role in the company’s history. However, it seems futile to hope that Criterion will be able to license Kane considering that its last edition was released on laserdisc in 1991 (but oh, how I’d love to have to eat those words!).

Available for download at EuphoricFX, or PM me with your e-mail address.

Inside art and WAY more background info. than you'll probably want >

Inside cover artwork:

Citizen Kane INSIDE PREVIEW.jpg

There have been several other fake Criterion covers for Citizen Kane (including at least three posted in this thread), one of which used the same front artwork as mine. My approach was to stay as true as possible to what one might call the “Criterion style”. The synopsis and the list of special features use a font called Old Newspaper Type, which seems appropriate to the subject. Of course, a real Criterion cover would always include the full title of the film on the front, but I felt justified in taking a bit of artistic license in order to accommodate that iconic image in its entirety.

My use of 1 for the spine number seems like an obvious choice, but it’s not that simple. Although Citizen Kane was the first video released by Criterion, cognoscenti will be aware that the current spine-numbering scheme for Blu-ray and DVD releases was only initiated when the company started issuing DVDs in 1999 (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...u-ray_releases). Grand Illusion carried spine no. 1, Seven Samurai was no. 2, etc. Since Grand Illusion has not been released on Blu-ray by Criterion, I decided to commandeer that unused number for my Kane cover. There is a backup plan in the event that Grand Illusion gets a Criterion Blu-ray edition: I saved a version of the cover with spine no. 0 (zero).

As noted above, Citizen Kane was an important film in Criterion’s history as its very first release (catalog no. CC101). It was issued on December 1, 1984, simultaneously with King Kong (CC102), as a 3-platter CAV laserdisc boxed set with special features. Here’s Criterion’s print ad announcing that home video milestone:

Criterion ad for CK & King Kong.jpg

And here’s the cover for CC101:

Criterion LD box cover - Citizen Kane (CC101).jpg

In 1991, a revised special edition incorporated all of the features from CC101 and added some significant new ones:

I've seen awesome work for Freddy, and for Jason... any chance anyone out there has tackled Pinhead? I'd love to see a unified collection of cover art for all 9 Hellraiser films if anyone has worked on such a thing. I need to purchase single releases of inferno, Hellseeker and Deadworld to have all 9 films on single releases, but already own the DVD's and some of the multi feature sets in addition to the singles so I'd love to have artwork/cases ready to go for when I finally pick up the last 3 entries I need.

Ok, sorry if this has been asked before but this thread is too huge to look through. My favourite movie of all time is Stand By Me, but I hate the poster that has the quote about Strawberry flavoured Pez. Is there any officiants on here that can remember the movie poster that was blue and black and showed the sillouhettes of the four characters walking by a river with the slogan saying " I never had any friends later on like the ones I did when I was twelve,......Jesus, does anyone?". I would Kill for a copy or link to that so I could enlarge it and frame it to 27" x40". I think you guys are my only hope. Here's hoping one of you guns can help me. Thank to you all for your time.
