I find that quite offensive! The covers we do are in our spare time, and we do them because it is something we take pride in doing. I work for a living as a graphic designer and making covers helps me to better learn the programs I use every day. Maybe you shouldn't judge the artists here without knowing any of us. We work hard on these covers and then freely post them for others to use. We don't expect anything from anyone. If all you can do is maker rude comments on the work we put into our covers, then stop coming to this thread.

Try to appreciate the work that is put in here!

For everyone else who does create covers, I am glad to be among some great artists, the work being done here is awesome.

This is my favorite custom cover page, I hope it can stay that way.

dv8pdx? Awesome covers there buddy. I might have to switch all my Trek's to single cases so I can use those covers.

first i need a 3-disc BD case cover of Oz and Gump. They look so blaaahh in my case with no covers.

All the covers being shared here I appreciate. Not everyone can do what you guys do.

Anyone who needs extra cash I'm ready to put in orders for original copies and some custom for your services. I would like to see some cover work and we can go from there.

If anyone is interested in making me covers please send me a private message.

Haha +1, no point in being rude man. As someone said, just move on.

I can't wait to see that Netflix cover, I need to figure out a way to start printing some custom covers. I have a few blu's waiting for them

I had some extra time and when through the entire thread and I must say there are some extremely talented people here with great imaginations. I do have a question though, I came across an edition of Photoshop 9 and would like to try and create some cover art as well.

Can someone let me know if this program will work, I am not worried about all the details/descriptions for the back of the cover but I am not sure where to start. Has anyone thought about putting together a tutorial of the process, just a thought.

Any help is appreciated, again great covers everyone.

I'll second that. There are some here who should be working in the art dept. for the companies who release these films. I say keep up the great work and I would like to use a few of the works posted here, and would tell others about it.

I use Photoshop 7 for the few that I have done, to me it is more then adaquate. As far as tutiorials, I know when I learned the basics it was on a tutorial that came with the program. Kinda looked like putting a Mr Potato head together. This exposed the user to layers and the basics to feel comfortable with the program. I am not sure if they still come with tutorials or not. After I had the basics down, coninual use and experimenting helped me to learn a lot

I also have found that just searching for the specific tutorial you need online works well, Google has been my best friend in this regards.

And finally, Im sure any items not addressed in totorials or not found on teh net can be answered on a forum, whether it be here or a dedicated PS forum.

Hope this helped a bit.

Photoshop is not a program that you just jump right in to and you can make covers (although there are plenty of people who think so) It's taken me years and years to master it and I'm pretty sure there is a crap load I haven't learned yet.
But there are tons of tutorials out there, tutsplus.com has some really good ones, but most of them are on a professional level so the amount of work that might go in to one image might seem daunting at first.
So what I think is the best way to to learn how to make covers is to copy an existing cover so that you can learn about font sizes, layout and image placement. After that you can then create variations of that, that are more in tunes with your own sensibilities.
But like I said, it takes time to get in to the program and you really need to love doing this as well.

I hope that my advice post didn't make it sound easy I have been using it for 7 years or so (and I still in my opinion only am low medium level), professionally only back in 2003, when I worked in video production, and only lately have been back at it (for fun). Needless to say this program can and will be a pain in the butt, and as swarez said, you HAVE to like it and wnat to put the time into learning it.
Good luck it's fun if you have the drive to learn it!

I seem to remember seeing this somewhere but can't find it now.

Did someone make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cover for a 4-disc case? One to hold the whole collection? If someone remembers the post or has it your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I second that! These are great! Are they made to fit the cases the movies came in, or do I need to get new cases?
