Hey (talented) guys:

Anyone up to making a cover for Back To School based on the original theatrical one sheet rather than the terrible photoshop job they used for the BD release (based on the DVD SE art):

Well the DVD collection released back in 2005 was called the "The Franchise Collection" or "Adventure Pack". You could use one of those or a combination of the two.

That JP cover looks nice, but your repeating brushes are very apparent on the back.

I agree with the previous poster about the repetition on the back. Although I think it will be less obvious once the back is full of goodness.

I also like the title that you have come up with. Its a custom so I believe it is creative in the title creation and you do not need to conform and re-use one of the titles from the DVDs

Anyone here have leads/suggestions for interesting CD / DVD / Blu-Ray packaging? I'm looking for something beyond your typical run of the mill cases. I LOVE the cases over at jewelboxing.com but they're a bit beyond my budget. I'm a photographer, and want something nice to package photo discs in.

Just wanted to throw up one of my customs that I have in my collection. I'm building an entire collection using this exact layout with silhouettes on every piece of work. I want to thank hempo for that inspiration, because I was having trouble creating a uniform simplistic look with actual art/shots from the movies themselves, but silhouettes work fantastically with this.

I'm sure most wouldn't want that uniform look, but there's something kind of cool about it to me. Kind of like a bunch of encyclopedias on a shelf together.

My thoughts exactly! I'd be interested to see a completed shot, or several of the new cases lined up. If I ever feel the need to go all out BLU, I'll be sure to let you know

I've been trying to get my imandix to do a "collection" shot all morning, but it won't let me do it with the blu-ray cases for some reason. Once I figure that out I'll put em up. I won't be printing anything until I get all my movies created and am going to do a mass job once it's all done so an actual photo is probably a month out as well. Drawing the silhouettes in illustrator take forever.
