A friend of mine, Jang (장꿀로드땡규) on the DVD Prime Forum (Korean Blu-ray forum) has made a set of 8 individual covers for the Star Wars Blu-ray. They include covers for each of the 6 theatrical episodes (both outside and inside covers) and additional covers for the Archives (meant for a 2 disc case) and Documentaries and Spooofs. I have obtained permission from him to link the covers for everyone here on Blu-ray.com.
Custom Star Wars Covers by Jang on DVD Prime Forum The link to the actual cover images point to his cyworld page (Korean version of Facebook), so I have rehosted the images on ImageShack. Please enjoy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Links to fullsize images Episode 1 Custom Cover Episode 1 Custom Inside Cover Episode 2 Custom Cover Episode 2 Custom Inside Cover Episode 3 Custom Cover Episode 3 Custom Inside Cover Episode 4 Custom Cover Episode 4 Custom Inside Cover Episode 5 Custom Cover Episode 5 Custom Inside Cover Episode 6 Custom Cover Episode 6 Custom Inside Cover Star Wars Archives Custom Cover Star Wars Archives Custom Inside Cover Star Wars Documentaries Custom Cover Star Wars Documentaries Custom Inside Cover Last edited by xradman; 09-20-2011 at 04:27 PM. |

Imrahil, let me just congratulate you on a job well done. The attention to detail is staggering. I'm a Star Trek fan too. I still have all the separate releases on DVD from the early 00's. And the first season on HD DVD, and the new BD sets, of course.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what is wrong with 9covers.com? When I go there I get a white background with some of the links from the site. There is a lot of open space and it looks weird. Also, every time I try to click one of the links it gives me a 403 permission denied. I can't login or logout or anything. Someone please help!

They look just like my HK bootlegs of ST DS9 and some of the Star Wars boots from China. The colourful nebula and cluttered photocollages are typical. Often with multicoloured text as well. Here's a pic of my bootlegs bought from eBay about ten years ago. See the resemblance?: ![]() Lately, I've come to realize that our taste is highly influenced by our culture. The tonal characteristics of traditional Japanese music sounds "off" to western ears, for example. The same thing applies to aesthetics. |

Darren, you have the stamina of a steam engine. How close are you to finishing?
That poster for You Only Live Twice is excellent. I haven't seen that one before. It's bothered me for some time, but the colours for Live and Let Die seem too hot. I remember when this was broadcast on the Beeb (or was it Channel4) back in the eighties, they used that poster as a bumper during commercial breaks. I tell you, the nostalgia factor on these posters is high for old time fans like ourselves. You young pups don't know what you're missing. |

Which will leave 1 Timothy Dalton movie, 4 Pierce Brosnan, 2 Daniel Craig and 1 Peter Sellers. ![]() In the 1980s ITV owned the rights to all the 007 movies. All except "Never Say Never Again" which BBC held the rights to. Leslie Halliwell was the movie buyer for ITV back then and he often said that the Beeb had been given first dibs on the 007 series but they (the BBC) thought the James Bond movies were beneath them and that nobody would want to watch them on TV. The BBC had learned the error in that thinking and so snapped up "Never Say Never Again" ![]() I agree about the nostalgia factor regarding the poster art. That was one of the factors for me in working the 007 custom covers. |
