Yes, I plan to put the three DVDs with the LaserDisc transfer of the unaltered movies and the Bonus Materials DVD in a 4-disc Viva Elite case and put it alongside the Lucasfilm release of last week on my shelf.

In all likelihood I will replace TESB with this high res image. That way I can get Luke on the poster:

That's my next project after I get done with the James Bond covers.
If you need high quality scans of the posters, I've got tons of them.

That poor, innocent Tauntaun! Why is Lando shooting it in the foot?

The one thing that always bugged me about that poster was it looks like Lando is shooting Luke's tauntaun in the foot and Boba Fett is shooting it in the butt!

...and Luke is having a cigarette!

Thanks for the offer Trekkie, (or Ozzman) but I have plenty of high res images.

My Ep. IV: A New Hope image is 3257 x 2427 pixels
My Ep. V: TESB image is 4160 x 3140 pixels
The alternate TESB image is 1700 x 2442 pixels
My Ep. VI ROTJ image is 1651 x 2194 pixels

I have access to higher resolution images but I purposefully went for ones that did not have the title burned into the image.

I'm think of doing a photo mosaic/video wall for Tomorrow Never Dies, does this idea look good so far?

Sorry, Trekkie, they just got lost in the shuffle. Posts are coming in thick and fast in this thread.

I am not familiar enough with the original posters to spot your modifications. That must be good, right? They're seamless. Good work on integrating those photographic elements on Licence to Kill. I noticed you went with the "License" spelling :-)

I'm eager to see you apply these posters to actual covers with spines and backs. That's when we can start to evaluate the pieces as a whole. The fronts are usually the easiest part of creating custom covers.

It will be interesting to compare your efforts with DVDMike's and Darren's. I enjoy watching different designers craft wildly different pieces from the same materials.

Oh no! I much prefer the top half of your first version.

When I said "blending to white" I meant using the same procedure you and I worked our way through with the Living Daylights poster (the colour select option). Or just try a light touch of the background eraser to take out the black rim of the explosions against the white background. Or just use a heavily feathered eraser.

You do realize that's just a work-in-progress mock-up, right?

I don't think a lot of people realize that WIPs get posted on here:

Licence to Kill:

It’s actually hard to find a copy of the UK TT. I had to recreate it myself. Obviously this is a WIP with the template elements in play.

The World is Not Enough:

I removed the red from Renard’s face to make it less obtrusive, so you could say he is a shadow of his former self..OK, bad custom cover humour. I think thematically it works since his shadow is over most of the proceedings in the movie.

Goldeneye:

Reverted back to original top level per Nissen’s suggestion. Also reworked Brosnan’s head to remove straight edges (per Imrahil’s observation).

I found one. So, I'll be switching out that TT.

I am going with the UK spelling to be more faithful to the actual poster art:

Default Request: A Really Huge Star Field

Hey, all.

I'm designing a poster for an upcoming "Star Wars" convention as a hobby, and I need an insanely hi-res basic star field image. I searched Google like crazy, but even the biggest ones weren't enough, so I decided to ask for one here. Nothing stylized, please; no clouds, galaxies, planets, etc....just the stars. The full dimensions for the finished poster will be 41 x 27 inches, at 300 pixels per inch. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
