I’m trying to decide between two cover art’s for my “Casino Royale” (2006) custom cover and not sure which to choose?:

Or

No right or wrong answer, but I’d like some opinions.

Right or wrong, I spontaneously wanted to say the second poster was the best, but then I realized the gunbarrel pattern took away from the same pattern on the back. So I'd have to say go with the first one, even though it seems a bit lopsided, balance wise. Maybe that'll even itself out when you add the TT.

As for Pierce's floating head on Tomorrow Never Dies, he just need some sort of shoulderline, sloping down on each side from the neck, a white jacket perhaps? The gals would have to be placed in front of him for that to work.

Thank goodness for me, huh? Thanks.

Im! Man! Where do you come up with this stuff? The swoosh on the Airplane spine is bleeping genius. The heads in the viewports as well.

On Stripes, I still say the "brick wall through the poster" effect works. What did you do that I didn't? Which reminds me, haven't seen Stripes since 1987. So many films, so little time...

First one without a doubt, the silhouette stands out beautifully on the white background

If you go with the first one, fix the aspect ratio of the picture of Daniel Craig on the cover. The proportions are all screwed up, and he's stretched out horizontally like crazy.

It's a split vote...the fan web site opted for the second one. Luckily for Blu-ray.com I already had worked one for the first one

Still needs a TT. I have one ready but my regular job is calling

Hmm...I thought I has pressed shift but I could be wrong, I was trying to fit Craig over an image below it that had the TT burned onto it.

EDIT:
You are correct, good catch. Thanks.

Not crazy about how the TT looks.

I just cleared out my ImageShack file, so there will be a number of error messages popping up

Maybe I'd clear the space between Craig's legs so that it would be transparent (just like what you did for the space between the arms and the hip of the woman on the right)

Just a thought...

I'd also get rid of the year on the spine.

I really think what you did was great on your grindhouse cover.
And I don't think you did something "wrong", I think it really just was the fact that on your first version everything was "brick wall through everything" (titles, every posters and there were a lot of them on the front, on the side and on the back)

On Stripes, I think it works just because only the poster has this effect.

And Nissen, you didn't answer to me, don't you think it would be a good idea to use your grindhouse cover to do one custom for The Skull/The man who cheat death ?

That's to avoid confusion with 1967's "Casino Royale"

Here is the updated "Tomorrow Never Dies"

Is this what you had in mind Imrahil?:

I made Renard bigger and reduced his opacity to 40 percent.

TND looks good!

If you drop the stroke on the Casino Royale TT and change the color/add a drop shadow, it might look better.
Thanks.

Yes I do like the look of it. As I mentioned thematically it works for the movie since Renard's shadow is over everything in the movie.

TND was an easy fix. It only involved cutting out the actresses, adding the feather and then painting in a white jacket.

I'll make the adjustments to the "Casino Royale" TT

Oh, I agree. However, it's not on my dancecard at the moment. But I do take commissions :-)

And finally...

This one will be revisited in 2012 when they release the details of the collector's edition. It was widely reported in 2009 that Director Marc Forster has recorded an audio commentary for the movie.

It looks bad though to have the year on there. It really does. I think the spine number of 21 does away with any confusion. One thing you might want to try is putting the year on all of the spines, horizontally, down at the bottom underneath the line that goes underneath each Bond's face. That would look good, methinks.

The picture of Daniel Craig on the front of this looks out of proportion. His face looks really squished (or stretched, depending on which direction we're talking.) Double check it, I think you'll see that I'm right. And if the girl is attached to him in the source picture, then she's out of proportion too, but she doesn't really look it.
