I'm using Undercover XP, and would also like to know the dimensions needed. Undercover XP doesn't state which metric system it uses, just says Width and Height with a number in decimal form; which would it be if I'm using this program to create a Criterion Blu preset?

Thanks in advance!

UndercoverXP allows you to choose either mm or inches for your dimensions...look at the bottom right and you will see inches or mm selected.

Ok...searching for a custom cover of The Artist that uses the original poster art is impossible in a forum that is full of ARTISTS!

Has anyone done a custom cover for The Artist using the original poster art?

bpmford: Regardless of the fact that I don't like the dance finale pose picture on the official bd...and so it therefore skews my opinion of your custom cover....I will say that your cover is a huge improvement over the official cover.

Ok I tried those exact dimensions in undercoverxp and the cover is still the same height as a regular blu-ray cover.

The correct cover dimensions for a Criterion case are 3240 x 1894 pixels (@ 300 pixels/inch), which converts to 274.32 x 160.36mm.

A Criterion template for Criterion cases, or a Criterion template for regular Blu-ray cases? That may be the source of the confusion.

I saw it as a kid and loved it, but yeah, when you get older you're wondering how they didn't think to cover Bowie's bulge in a family movie

I still love the movie, but I can see how it'd be hard to get into with that distraction. You should give it another shot sometime

Ok, who's an expert with Undercoverxp?

I'm entering the measurements in mm for a cover, it all looks great and central before i print but once printed the alignment isn't right and i'm losing about 20mm of the width of the cover.

Can't seem to get it print exactly central on the paper.

the measurements of the cover are:

284mm width
x
183mm height

Anyone help?

Thanks for those numbers!

I'm having an issue in Undercover XP, though:

First, it's weird in entering the numbers manually; I type "274.32", and it goes haywire, making it like 3,472. I notice the input method goes from right to left, instead, so I carefully use the arrow keys to enter it as "274.3", but it won't let me add it to the hundredth place; same with the height.

Second issue is how the preview looks when I set it like that. It looks smushed and none of the dotted lines I asked to input are there. If I were to print it on a regular sheet of paper, would it be a waste and it would looks the same? When I upload a picture and set it to Blu-ray size, it rotates it so it's vertical in the preview and is all in the frame. With the Custom Criterion, it is inputted in the manner the picture is without auto rotating it. UGH.

I'm not an expert (my printer needs ink so I'm a bit short on practical experience!) but if you highlight the size with the mouse you can enter your dimensions in without it going haywire. Size can only be entered to 1/10 of a millimetre. You'd have to enter the size in Inches to get it exact. Remember to click Add to create a new custom tab and to re-select it after you've loaded your cover in. If the cover is over a certain size I don't think the cut lines will be displayed. To centre the cover click Automatic on the left position and select Print on a Single Page. You may have to rotate your cover as the program always defaults back to CD Front + Inside. Or you may have entered the dimensions the wrong way around.

And remember you're printer needs to be set to borderless printing, otherwise the covers might not print to the right dimensions. Some printers only have borderless printing when you select certain paper types.
