Hmmm. It almost looks like the movie's name is SENSURROUND.

Cheesy late 70's Universal marketing sure didn't do it any favors, I remember the budget blurb and everything. The artwork itself was always cool though.

It could be easily fixed 'though.
Just would have to make the title bigger (it's really tiny and crowded upon the boots of the character although there is a lot of white empty space)

Just after a bit of advice really...

I downloaded Nissen's Jurassic Park trilogy cover but my printer is boxed up as I recently moved and I need to get it printed ASAP as I will (hopefully) be meeting Ariana Richards at the end of the month and wanted to have her sign it (or the Steelbook - I'm undecided on this, so far).

Can I put it on a memory card and take it to one of those photo booths that seem to be everywhere? Will this print correctly for the 3 disc 12mm spine case that I have for it, or am I best going to a store that specialises in photo printing? If so, will they need to do anything for it to print correctly?

I'm in the UK, so Kinko's is no good to me...

Thanks.

I agree though: enough with the WALL OF TEXT on the posters, 1960s-1970s. I hate that look. A lot of the old Bond movies do it too, and I just think it looks like crap.

That artwork for Total Recall is badass. Is that a cover that is available to share?

You would need to talk to Nissen or the client he made it for

Yes, it's a very good poster from the Thai theatrical release. I didn't pick the poster, the client did. All I did was remove the text and find a suitable place to put the title.

I can't share this without the express permission from the client, but it seems like he's already shared it, doesn't it? If you like I can forward your request.

What kind of paper should I use for a custom cover? Gloss? Luster?

Brochure paper. It's a semi-gloss that's very close to the type used by studios. I saw it recommended here ages ago and I've been very satisfied with the results.

It wasn't about your cover. You chose to recreate the poster, and that's totally fine--that's a choice. Drnnharr did the same thing with his Bond covers, and that's fine.

My comment was more about the original designs themselves, not you using them.
I see your point.

Thank you. I'd appreciate that.

I'd like to just keep them simple, each cover matching the style of it's film. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Also curious as to if anyone has a file that includes the basic clip art that belongs on official releases... region coding, tech specs etc... It'd be helpful!
That Snow White cover looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Here is a silence of the lambs criterion I did for the Blu ray and the Criterion DVD, note: it's #13.4 because I am doing all the silence movies in Criterion and also the TV show as well, (if it's released on Blu ray). Do they all deserve criterion branding, of course not, but I am a sucker for uniformity. Note I have censored the preview to conform with forum rules on nudity.

I don't really know, they just don't? I print them out at 600 dpi on a Epson printer/scanner unit so maybe the slower, higher resolution process has something to do with it.

Work in Progress of Evil Dead (2013). It is my first cover and would love to hear feedback to make it better.

Looks great!

There is a punctuation mistake in the back cover text however.

Aside from that, this is how an official release should look!

Is the image on the front in the correct ratio? It looks like it's stretched to me.

Love it! Great job Imrahil!

Personally I am going to hold off on purchasing this in the hope that one day the series will be released on Blu-ray. This is a nostalgic favorite from my childhood.
