Very nice, I like the uniformity. The "Directed By" header is classy.

Not over-keen on images of the Alien used but they do fit the style.

Personally I wouldn't have "The ***** Is Back" as the tag-line on Aliens for two reasons......
1: Aliens is the first film an alien is referred to as a ***** so the statement "the ***** is back" seems off as it implies the alien had already been referred to as a *****.
2: Wouldn't it be "*****es"

Well done though - great to see a new approach to the Alien series.

Anyone have a template for Criterion releases? I looked around but couldn't seem to find one.

I plan on making some that fit in Criterion cases.

If you are specifically wanting them in a standard Blu case I can see what I can do about making two versions of each, but it will take some time.

Here is Giant.

I just finished a cover that I'm pleased enough with to show you guys. I will say up front I am not a graphic designer or anything like that, nor do I consider myself even remotely artistic. I don't even use Photoshop. But, I've preordered the UK release of Streets of Fire and I do not particularly like the big UK ratings logos or the way the back covers of European releases are laid out. Unfortunately, there are no decent customs out there that I can find.

Well, necessity is the mother of invention. This isn't the first cover I have made, or tried to make, but I do think it came out pretty good. Good enough for me to replace the UK cover anyway.

Submitted for your approval...

BTW, if anyone wants the hi-res image, I did upload it at euphoricfx.org.

Been meaning to somehow get the last of my DVDs (the ones I don't see ever being upgraded to Blu) on the same shelf with my blu's, but couldn't really figure out how I wanted to do so, after some playing around with them, I decided I will make them a part of my own Criterion collection and put them in the Blu-ray sized Criterion cases.

Here are a couple I've worked on if anybody else is interested.

#911 – Angels In America (since the real Criterion Collection is just about to break into the 700s, I decided I'd start mine in the 900s)

#901 – Après lui

Feeling emboldened by my success with Streets of Fire, I decided to correct one I've disliked since it showed up in my mailbox. Twilight Time's release of The Fury. Terrible cover, particularly the title treatment. I like this better...

Also available at euphoricfx.org.

Would anybody by chance be working on a BRUCE LEE LEGACY COLLECTION cover art for the set?

The packaging is great as a collectors piece, but not so much if you want it on the shelf with the rest of your Blus.

Ideally it'd be a seven disc set - so all of the Blu-Rays and the bonus discs (not the DVD versions of the movies). I have a 7-disc case sat here and will make the cover myself, just wanted to check if anyone had already started one.

You can find tons of these custom covers on all the big custome covers sites, so just get over there and download.

I'm sure that someone has said this before, but why go so far as to put the Criterion logo and the Criterion description (i.e. The Criterion Collection is dedicated to gathering... blah, blah)? If you like the way they set up their cover art, there's no shame in aping it, but geez... leave out the CC part, no? Many of you are discrediting your own work by doing that. It's kind of lame.. Take this as post as a compliment because I feel that your work deserves better than that.

I was wondering that too. I mean to each their own but there isn't a need to put Criterion logo on all your stuff. I understand those that want uniformity in their collection but common. CC stuff on Batman...might as well slap it on Spring Breakers, Sharknado, and Mean Girls while your at it.

In a word... Continuity. And another word.... Uniformity.

I use to make Criterion covers and I slapped that C on some bad movies. But I didn't do it to make myself feel better about my collection. I just liked the template. And then it would match my other real Criterions on my shelf. They looked really good when I had my whole collection with that template

why not use the template but give credit to yourself by putting your own letters on it? I know nothing about you other than your screen name and I'm not sure what it is referring to, but why not replace the C with an 'RDZ' or something like that?
