Finishing up my custom edit of The Leopard, using the far superior French remaster coupled with the English audio from the shorter Criterion blu-ray (with the other 20 minutes still in Italian).

that is a great job i needed a replacement artwork for that release. i have a few other foreign releases i could use some english cover arts for. could u do some for me?

My blu-ray collection has outgrown its space, so I ordered 20 six disc Viva Elite cases and looked through my blu-rays for six disc box sets I could create. I ended up being able to use all 20 of them and disposed of 80 unnecessary cases on the shelf. All of your custom covers are inspiring. I'm going to be a little less elaborate and more utilitarian in my cover designs. The front will be a poster image and the back will have a checkerboard of six lobby cards or production stills representing each one of the movies. I've done two so far... I bundled all six of the Laurel & Hardy at Fox blu-rays from Norway, and I did a "Best of Bogart" box. Next up is a Ray Harryhausen, Film Noir and Godzilla box set.

Now that I've consolidated, I can buy more blu-rays!

What did you do with the old cases? Also I have a handful of Double Feature releases that I've split up but still have the cover art for. If you're ever looking to consolidate further and are interested let me know.

I'm chucking the blu-ray cases and just saving the paper inserts. I consolidated about 10,000 CDs into SafeKeeper books many years ago and did the same thing. But I boxed up all the jewel cases and put them in storage. After about a three years paying storage locker fees for jewel cases I'd never use again, I threw them out. I won't make that mistake again.

The Laurel & Hardy set turned out nice. The Norwegian covers were really ugly.

Which one do you need? I can try to find some spare time! I still have some to do for my own needs, but I can give it a try!

Good idea! Sometimes, I'll do very elaborate designs for the covers (most of the time for a unique movie) but I'll keep it simple for a Franchise collection (2 movies, a trilogy or 6 movies like I did for Shrek, Resident Evil or Paranormal Activity). I consider the front cover and the spine as the most important part of a cover. The back is, IMO, only relevant before you buy the movie (I always watch at it in store) but once you bought the movie, really, you don't really need to have all the fine prints or a perfect list with all the bonus features. I have DVD Profiler for these information with the original covers scanned. So, many of my design are only to look good on a shelf, and to save space!

I imagine once you start making your own box sets like this, you forget how the movies were originally grouped and packaged. Not necessarily a bad thing I suppose.

Can anyone locate a custom cover for the Criterion King Of The Hill (Soderbergh) to fit a standard Blu case? I would pay for any shipping and printing costs.

Many years ago, I bought the Region 2 PAL DVD edition of Necronomicon (1993), released in France. The same studio released the movie on Blu-ray in 2014, but it is locked to Region B. Since I don't have a Region Free Blu-ray player, I decided to do my own BD-R version of the movie, with a 720p HD Video RIP. That's not the 1080p HD quality from the existing Blu-ray disc, but it's better than the 480p SD video from my DVD... Here is the Blu-ray cover. Enjoy!
