Hey guys and gals - I am really struggling trying to find out what thickness, weight and type of printer paper most closely replicates the paper used by all the commercial Blu-ray producers. Everything I find seems to be far thicker than that of the commercially produced cover inserts. Any help out there? Thanks to everyone.

Hello Everyone, there is a new Alice Cooper Blu-Ray/DVD coming out for the "Live at the Astroturf" concert in October 2015. The Blu-Ray and DVD are included in package deals and will not have an actual Blu-Ray cover. I was hoping someone could create a Blu-Ray Cover for the concert. Thank you!
EDIT: I found some one to make this cover [Show spoiler]

If possible I'd love to request a Red Sonja 4k cover with the original artwork?

What a disingenuous question this is. Sowhat obliges requests all the time, as do many others. Making covers takes time and resources and not everyone wants to spend time on every esoteric request - especially when those folks could get in touch with an artist and commission the work.

I could update the Black Series covers to 4K specs, but it would be a paid job. However, reformatting them to Criterion dimensions is too much work, so that is off the table. Also, there hasn't been a request for a "Rise of Skywalker" cover in this design, so that would have to be made from scratch first (also a paid job). Please bear in mind, I generally don't take requests. Unless it's a project I'm personally interested in I ask to be compensated for my time. If you, or anyone else, has a job they'd like me to do then a PM is the best way to ask. For anyone wondering, these are the covers Plissken is asking about: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I was asking a question, I've got 2 answers. One was snarky, and yours was informative. Thank you. Had wondered, to some extent, if this was a request only thread, or a posting cover artist's work only.

I come here to see what others are doing, and to display and share what I've made with other forum members. We all come here because we have an above average interest in physical media and how it's presented, and want to see something tailor made to our taste. In a thread like this, requests are natural and expected, as not all people have the time or resources to make covers themselves. I see cover artists fulfill requests all the time. Making covers takes hours, sometimes days, so frankly, the generosity of many of these people impresses me and it should not be taken for granted. I myself seldom fulfill requests, unless its a project that intersects with my personal interests or that I just happen to have the resources for at that particular time. Sometimes requests also give me an idea for a project that I might not otherwise have thought of. I have taken requests in the past where I've felt the like helping someone out. Many of those times I have found myself regretting it, because the "client" just doesn't seem to appreciate the effort and time I devote for free. "Could you move that logo to the side?", Add a picture of Brad Pitt", "Don't you have a different poster you could use"? More often than not I'm reminded of the old adage "No good deed goes unpunished" It's natural that people make requests, but if there are no takers, it is impolite to press the matter or act annoyed that no one is taking on the job. (There are some recent examples in this thread where I was thinking of doing someone a favour, but they act entitled and leave snarky "So, that's how it is, eh?" remarks, which puts me off wanting to help them at all. Even IF they paid me.) Don't expect people falling over themselves to give up hours of their life doing something for free. If no one is taking on the job out of the goodness of their hearts, let it go, or if it's very important to you, ask someone to do it for a fee. Please understand, I'm not singling you out here, this is just what I've seen over the years. |
