The front title is a scan of the enormous box w/ book the discs came in. The spine is a scan of the spine of the aforementioned book. That's probably the limits of my scanner & meager Adobe skills.

I just had them printed out this evening @ OfficeMax and they look okay, but yes they probably could be sharper...

Hey all,

Before I post my two new covers, I will first preview a wonderful cover done by wysmommy, a talented artist who was gracious enough to let me show off her cover here.

A few people have showed interest in a cover for this film, so here is by far the best made, and one that will put Disney's eventual release to shame!

Nice cover's. I didn't even know that Robin Hood movie with Russell Crowe was coming out just checked out the trailer looks pretty good.

Also that Avatar with the Blue case looks better IMO. To much green with a green case.

i believe: if you have a proper custom replacement cover you should not have to alter the dimensions of the image, you should be able to just print it. also, make sure the print is not set to scale or stretch the image to fit the paper size.

love this thread, alot of great artists, but man it seems impossible to get any of them that I can use. Every time I PM someone asking for the cover never hear anything back about it. Was thinking about trying to make some of these myself as well but never got any help from anyone when I asked about a template or dimensions. Great thread none the less, just felt like venting.

I know why Ridley Scott went to crowe instead of finding a Britt actor, because he loves Crowe and Crowe can win him Oscars! Not to say Crowe will be bad, because I'm sure he will rock the role, but it could use a Britt actor! Men in tights had Cary Elwes and he is a Britt

BPM I must say that awhile back you and I had a discussion about some of the great cover artist on several of the sites. Back then you said you had a long way to before you could ever do the kind of work they had done. I am here to tell you right now that you are one of the best cover artist I have seen. So many of the old greats have long retired from cover design and I am glad you are one of the succesors.

Those comments are really nice, and I am glad to see that my work has grown in popularity. My greatest achievement is that I can do something that ohers will love. I started doing covers because of the stellar work that some other greats have done (Demonology, dv8pdx, Morpheo, aggienader08, thorthefifth, and many others). They got me to the levels I have achieved now, and I hope to continue to grow as I do more covers and learn more from others.

Design is my passion, and all you guys are my inspiration!

I know this is the second time I've said this, but I have had to take a much needed break from the cover work over the past month. Things got a little stir crazy in here a couple of weeks back and I had to remove myself. To those that have pmed about the ST and TDK covers I apologize that I haven't gotten back to you with the covers. It is my mission tonight to get those out to you. thank you!

To all those interested in the Stanley Kubrick collection, I have begun work on a major project for a custom of the complete WB collection. The design process began yesterday and I've decided to take a whole new approach to it rather than simply designing a simple 5-disc Custom cover. I know it's a lot easier to do the latter, however Stanley Kubrick's films deserve a much more extravagant design. The box set will look very similar in style to the digibook layout of "Rome: The Complete Series" with the discs inserted into the boarded page.



If anyone is interested I will keep the thread up to date on this very large production and construction of the case. I will also make the 5-disc cover available to be inserted into the standard amaray case. However, it will not include space for the yet to be released "Lolita" and "Barry Lyndon". I'm still questioning whether or not I will be able or have the funds to build more than one of these, but I will keep you posted as it could be a rather expensive project. We'll see.

[EDIT] I would like to add that if any artist has any of their own artwork to contribute to said collection's design then pm me with a link to the Hi res of the image and I'll see if I can include it. If the artists work is to be used, then I shall gladly attribute the artist.
