I haven't done a back, and it's not in accordance to actual blu-ray cover rulings.

If someone tells me what it needs to be, I'll adjust it accordingly.

Where do you guys get your images for your covers ?

I use google but generally don't find any really high resolution pictures that are good.

If you do just use google what sort of things do you search for ?

these are frikkin sweet!

but i dont know how we would use them when the movies come on a single blu ray disc

hey all I am new here on blu-ray.com but have been an active member of dvdtalk.com for almost 10 years (same username) and I just wanted to see if any of the talented artist in this thread would be interested in participating in a cover competition I am attempting to get started. The contest winner will recieve a $50 visa gift card.

The contest is to make the best criterion cover for a movie on blu-ray that was released on DVD or LD via the Criterion Collection but not a Blu-ray bye them. An example of this would be RoboCop, Criterion did it on LD & DVD but not Blu and another rarer example would be North By Northwest, Criterion did the LD but no DVD. There are list on wikipedia with all the stuff Criterion released.

Anyone can contact me via pm if you wanna be part of this.I would like to get 10 or 15 people involved in this if possible and if your interested I also have a similar DVD cover competition at dvdtalk that I am looking for participants in

I do - that was was created from multiple images. I removed all the writing and logos off a Big Daddy photo, typed out the logo (pretty sure it's just a stretched Impact) and chucked on the names from a poster I found.

When it comes out, I'll scan the back, and then release this one in high res for printing.

All you guys are fantastic artists! I wish I was as good at PS as you guys are. I'm trying to do some customs myself of the Bond covers using the vintage origianl theatrical posters. I was wondering if anybody could supply me with scans of the backs and spines of the currently availably Bond Blu-rays. I like the gold-colored backs and would like to use them but I have steelbooks which I find hard to scan. Any suggestions?
