My question is how broad is your definition of war? I always thought of Gladiator more as one man's journey than a 'war' film. I always hate it when I have people disagree with how I sort my collection so I don't want to make you mad here. Do you have a strict qualifier for what makes the list or do you just go with your gut? Is it based on the violence factor or the presence of soldiers? |

And that makes sense for the larger pics like on Gladiator and Behind Enemy Lines. But for the other movies where you currently have smaller face pics, maybe instead of cutting them off right at the neck line, you could just extend them down to roughly the chest area (this would vary, obviously, since each smaller pic still varies in size). This would keep the size of each pic the same and would make for a more uniform look without distorting the pictures. Another suggestion is in regards to the studio logos at the bottom of each box. I realize that there going to be some differences there no matter what of the different studios that put the movies out. But even for all of your Paramount movies, you have something like 3 or 4 versions of the Paramount Logo in different colors, sizes, etc. The same is the case with the Sony Pictures logo. I think it would look better if you just picked one version of the logo for each studio and stuck with it for all movies from that studio. It would help with the uniformity and consistency that you seem to be trying to go for with these covers. Additionally, it would probably look a bit better if (for the most part) you could get all of the various studio logos to be roughly the same height. I realize that won't be possible with the Dreamworks logo, and even the Fox/MGM combo ones will be hard as well. But for Paramount, Sony Pictures, Fox Searchlight, and WB, it shouldn't be too hard. Also, in the case of WB, if you have the right kind of program to do so, I think it would look better if you were to just get the WB shield right over the green background and didn't have any kind of black box around it. Also, i think that a black Blu-Ray logo right over the green would look better than the current blue one that you have, but that is a much smaller issue (IMO) than the pics and studio logos. Please note that these are just intended as friendly suggestions, nothing more and nothing less. If you don't want to change the way that you are making these covers, that it totally fine. They are your work afterall and you have every right to make them the way that you want to. I'm just making suggestions that would help with the overall consistency that you seem to be trying to achieve. Last edited by Dynamo of Eternia; 09-18-2010 at 03:52 PM. |

Got a question for you guys. I didn't know where else to ask.
But does anyone know how to go about making blu booklets and episode guides to insert inside the cases? Any tutorials or anything like that? |
