Hi all, thoughts on this Die Hard cover? Sorry for the slight fuzzy nature of the back cover, I think its because of the fonts.

For those that followed this project, you'll remember my original intention was to just mod the NES cart so the disc fit inside. Little did I realize, standard sized discs wont fit in a NES cart, only mini discs.

So, I disassembled a NES cart. It basically breaks down in half. Cut and sanded all the jabby parts, so it was basically flush along the back half. Then used a DVD case, cut it out on profile, and attached it to the back. It turned out pretty decent. It was a fun project.

thats pretty good for a first attempt on the die hard cover just gotta rough out some of that fuzzyness of the back like u said to make it more print worthy but nevertheless a great start!!!

I like the orange. I meant the orange second edition, the first one was a little bland but the second run through really ties the orange color into the cover and I like the tie in to Halloween.

Yes, I realize that making the moon orange is an artistic choice, and I was a bit iffy about it, but the poster is otherwise very monochromatic (aside from the horse's eyes, and those are too small to see at a 5x7" size). So I wanted some "flair," and the rising moon is usually orangey due to light scattering at the horizon anyway.

I also perked up the scarecrow's pumpkin head on the back to add another 'cue'. Anyway, I tweaked a few more things for the final version, but this is basically done.

It looks amazing; the orange moon is perfect. I love the movie but even if I had never seen it, I'd probably buy it just for that cover alone. You know, providing the studios would actually release something that looks that good.

I know there are some imperfections in elements of the cover. But luckily for me they're not noticable unless you literally go zooming in for them.

Personally, I don't think the cover needs the texture, but I agree on moving the title down and altering the font. I like that you kept it simple. You called it a DC collection and it's similar to the Burton and Schumacher Batman covers, which Im guessing is the idea. I like it

Thanks. I didn't think about the Burton/Schumacher Batman films when making this. But now that I do, you're right. I was thinking of doing similar covers for others, and for the most part I think this is a success, though I may go ahead and move the title down a bit.
