If anyone can make individual case art for each movie, I would be quite grateful. Something along the lines of Blu-Ray versions of the packaging art from the individual DVD releases that came out last year would be preferable.
yeah i think ive seen some here already.

the basic dvd cover. with the universal bluray template.

Time to start working on this one I guess.
Will be interesting to see actually, but I can't say I HATE the packaging.

That's an impressive cover art. Even the layout for the digestive system for the Human Centipede creeps me out as well!

I have to agree Rusty, you did it again, very good artwork, if I ever get that movie I'd love to put on that one

Yeah, I don't care for that blue streak or whatever at the bottom of the box art that Universal BD titles used to have (the newer ones don't even have it anymore).

I'm hoping to get a special box-set box made as well (I've got an idea on how to pull this off, but it's kind of a long shot), using the cover of the actual BD set, only I want it based on the original version they showed, before the digital copy info was added in:

I'm not sure if you've seen them (you probably have), but this is the style that the individual DVDs from last year were done in:

Here is the actual, original poster to compare it to:

I like what they did with the individual DVDs. I think the black boarder looks classy, and I like the way the title is big and centered at the top of the package. With using the actual poster, the title is just off to the side, which isn't bad, but I think it looks better centered. Plus there's all of that extra writing to deal with. While I'm sure someone with good photoshop editing talent could take the original poster and work with it to change all of that, IMO the separate DVD covers already did that. I guess my view on it is if it ain't broke, why fix it? But of course you are free to do whatever you want.

I may even try my hand at adapting them over. I'm decent with that kind of stuff IMO, but no where near the level of many of you who post covers here.

And just for the fun of it (even though it's a little off topic), here's a photo of my individual BTTF1 DVD that I got signed by Christopher Lloyd earlier this year:

Where could I find the font, or eps files, of the Harry Potter film subtitles (Sorcerer's Stone, etc)?

I found them on mugglenet.com. Let me know if those don't work.
EDIT: While that downloadable font is called Lumos, the actual font is called Able.

Thanks!

Is the Lumos font what we would find on the posters?

The Harry Potter project is -ON-. Got my box today, will start modding it this weekend. Need to figure out how to get the gold paint off the spine without taking of the rest of the finish, then figure out how to do gold lettering for the Harry Potter logo.

The plan, for now, is to create a mini book for each movie. Kind of like the Harry Potter trunk, but I'm hoping to make these a bit different. A bit darker, more ominous. I was hoping to come up with an idea more original than just copying the trunk/book concept, but that's all that's come to mind.

Doesn't anyone else think that the cover chosen for Jacob's Ladder is terrible?

I think the original theatrical poster would have been more effective:

Thoughts?

Totally agree. I loved how the 1 sheet had the same Francis Bacon influence as the film. Here's a rough version trying to push that a bit more:

Edit: And if Deep Discount ever ships my copy, I'll work on an entire cover...

Just a clean up of my original BTTF set. Thought I'd come out of hiding to share these since Im not a big fan of box sets with fold out insides.

All of the art work, images and text are super hi-resolution. One of the best "quality" sets I've done. Each back correlates to the movies time period including the time travel clocks.

Doing one for Predators

Similar to the ones that already exist, but I really don't like intrusive dialogue or ratings logos or what have you.

First attempt at the Harry Potter boxed set. Not sure I'm liking where this is going, may try something else.
