Any chance of updating the special features to include the new ones on the Blu-Rays? And either way, could I get a set of these covers? Here is an image from the actual BD set that shows a list of the features: http://highdefdiscnews.com/proof/bac...seopenfull.jpg My Collection-Box Project - I hope to post some pictures later. I've actually been working on a box-set box that will fit 3 standard elite cases since yesterday. In fact, the design (which isn't anything too fancy.. I'm mainly used the mage of the front of the box of the actual Blu-Ray set) is pretty much done. I even put in tabs, etc, to fold so that it will all fit together and hopefully work well when the tabs are properly glued down. But there's a few things I need before printing up the final product. I need to get some card stock paper (preferably something with a semi gloss.... I found some online, but I'm going to check stores this weekend to see if I can find anything locally. I will order online if need be). And I just placed an online order for this scor-it scoring board/tool thing that is supposed to work really good for making the creases, etc, for paper crafting. I also order this scoring board and tool earlier call "scor-it", which is supposed to work really well for putting the creases, etc, where I would need the folds to be. I probably won't have that in hand for another week or so. If this goes well, I'll probably be making a lot more box-set boxes going forward. I've been wanting to do this for sometime, and with the BTTF Trilogy being pretty much my all time favorite movies, I wasn't going to sit down and just accept crappy packaging. So far it seems to work well. I actually printed and made a "test-shot" box earlier today just using some slightly thicker paper that I already happened to have (not really card-stock, but just something that is a little thicker than normal paper), and I assemebled it and taped to together. This test-shot box is rather crude and flimsy, but it fit 3 Elite cases just fine. In fact, I have my X-Men trilogy inside of it right now. I'll try and take some photos of my test-shot box and post them here later tonight. I would do it now, but my wife has our digital camera in her purse and she is at work right now. If the final product turns out well once I get my scoring tool and the proper paper, I will post a picture of the final completed box, as well as the full-sized original files incase anyone else wants to attempt to print it up and give their individual BTTF cases the box-set treatment. OT, I'm thinking I may try a custom slipcover soon. To give a BD I really love a little more oomph. Now which one...? |

As promised in my previous post, here are a couple of pics of my "test shot" of a BTTF collector's box to hold 3 separate Blu-Ray cases.
A few things to keep in mind... I didn't print this at the highest print quality, just good enough to get the point across. The paper that was used, while a little thicker than normal paper, is still pretty flimsy, so there is some 'bulding' going on that won't (or at least I hope won't) happen with the final box. I plan to get a thicker 'card stock' for the final thing. Also, I just taped this together (so you can see the tape in the picture). I plan to carefully glue down the tabs on the final box. I mainly did this just to test it out and make sure I got the measurements right and that it would hold the Blu-Ray cases like I hoped they would. I put my X-Men Trilogy in it for testing this out: ![]() ![]() |

updated the special feature (thanks Dynamo for the details) and I agree the font on the spine didn't match so I found the BTTF font and updated the spine as well as a few specs. I think they are done. Put them in blue cases this time so you can see what they will actually look like.

You know, the BTTF logo has always been difficult to adapt to a spine orientation. The old VHSs had enough width on the spines to just slap it on there as is. In my opinion, converting the BTTF logo to a single line of text has never been cracked. Some attempts I googled (Actually, the first one is rather successful): ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi logos are also some of the most difficult to adapt for spines, don't you agree? ![]() Usually, the best way to approach such things is to not try to adapt a graphic composite like these logos for spine use, but to choose alternate text/fonts to complement them. BTW, not wanting to put anybody down, but here is an example of a failed attempt at converting the ESB plaque for spine use: ![]() |

However, I wouldn't be against putting the actual back of the Blu-Ray packaging on the other side, but I need to find a hi-res straight-on shot of the back of the Blu-Ray packaging in order to do that. (The image of the back in that link I posted earlier is at an odd angle, and there's a lot of shiny reflectiveness in it. My Photoshop skills are quite good enough to try and work with that as a source, and I have yet to see any better images of the back than that one). I was kicking around putting the cover art to the UK version of the set on the other side. It's similar, only Doc isn't on it, it doesn't say "25th anniversary Trilogy", and it had the Delorian from a different angle a the bottom. But, ultimately decided just to put the same image on both sides. Quote:
