Im attempting it myself also, how would i match the spine black to the scan black? The eyedropper in photoshop isnt accurate enough.

there's only one kind of black. anything else, isn't black.

NOTE 2: Also, there is a second version to my Lion King cover that can be seen on my preview page in my sig. The cover is pretty well the same, with the exception of a few minor changes.

NOTE 3: The image of the girl on the front cover for Splice is a custom Wacom Tablet drawing by another cover designer and good friend of mine. He does drawings like that one by had using his tablet in Photoshop, so I have to give a big thanks to him for creating that for me!

There are hundreds of levels of black in photoshop, as seen by the naked eye, black being just an absents of UV light in which the human eye seen no reflection, and you knew what he was asking. A simpler polite response would have been cool. In design we don't call a tone thats 2 levels off of the RGB spectrum of absolute black, grey or dark blue. Its still a level of black with a new name: onyx black, midnight black, jet black, graphite black etc. until the level of UV percentage allows for enough visible reflection to change its visible priority and make it a color, which black and white are not colors.

my point was, it's just regular black, you know, when the slider as as far as it goes. the blackest of the black, not any altered levels.

I ended up doing one for myself for the first season that would match the other two.
It is essentially the same artwork as the retail release, just got rid of the silver on the front and spine and a few other minor changes.

I've been meaning to point out that there is a error on that Lion King cover and I'm not sure if you've already corrected it or not. The quote on the back says "Iv'e Never Seen" instead of "I've Never Seen" with the apostrophe in the wrong spot. Just a heads up in case this has gone unnoticed thus far.

Finally gave in and forked over some $ to get into customaniacs. I found almost everything I wanted there - didn't see a 25mm Lost Season 6 cover though, so I made it. Preview is attached, PM me if you want a link.

Warning: I haven't printed this yet, hopefully it turns out right.

This is a pair of half-covers I made for some Hitchcock classics that aren't out yet on BD
I am kind of sticking with films that aren't out on BD yet because I don't really like competing with the real covers since I am new on making these.
