I decided I would try out an online printshop for my covers called MoxiCopy. They do full color prints for 18 cents a piece. Considering the cost of printer ink and photo paper that's quite a deal!
My order just got here (after about 4 days) and I have to say they look amazing! Extremely professional looking prints on high grade paper. There's almost 100 prints here and it ended up costing me 36 bucks total (only because they charge 9 and change for shipping). I will definitely be using them for all my cover printing from now on. The only downside is that they can't cut the covers exactly to size. They use a machine to cut the prints and you'd run the risk of getting parts chopped off from the paper shifting during printing. I had them leave a half inch border around the covers. I have a lot of cutting to do tomorrow. |

http://www.moxicopy.com > Order Now tab > Unbound Docs selection under "Multi-Page Other" > Legal Paper Size > # of Individual Covers > Paper Type 100# Coated > Single Sided > # Of prints in color > No Full Bleed > No Padded Sets > No Binding Option > Quantity is 1 (means you want 1 of each print. MAKE SURE YOU GET THIS RIGHT) Save all your covers in pdf form (one large pdf or each in their own) and then zip them all up and upload them at the bottom of the page. Covers must all be the same size (ie: zip all your single and double discs together, and then each size in your multidisc covers together by disc count). You have to do this because their process is automated and they want to be able to just plug in dimensions and do all the same sized ones at once. Job Notes - Give them the dimensions of the covers in the corresponding zip (you will have a seperate order for each size) Tell them you want them cut with a half inch border around the pics. Pics dont really represent the quality of the prints. I imagine they are the same as you would get if Kinko's did them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...119_212600.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...119_212509.jpg Last edited by DreamScar; 01-20-2011 at 01:43 AM. |

All I ask is something similar to the UK box. Are these two titles cursed so no one will respond? Hahaha. At least break my heart and say no. Hahaha http://static.letsbuyit.com/filer/im...-22481589.jpeg |

Regarding TMNT, most seem to be artwork for individual cases. However, I found a cover for all from this thread. Have you seen this one? LINK |

Hi,
I was planning on using bpmford's blu-series to custom my blu-ray collection but, infortunatly, he doesnt take requests anymore and is not kind enough to send me a template for me. Anyway, I would like to know if someone knows some expert like you guys that does covers on the same style, like bpmford's blu-series. It's a real shame that he left such great work. Help is needed. Thank you very much. |

[Show spoiler] . If you want a particular cover of his, then pm him and I'm sure he'll answer as soon as he gets a chance. If not, then I'll bet it has something to do with him not wanting to give out the template for his design. I'm not sure since I can't speak for him. It's been a sort of on and off thing with some of us (requests and such). As for other artists using his style? I'm not sure about that either. A lot of artists in here have their own style. There are studio templates and such that are downloadable on other sites such as euphircfx.org, DVDcoversfuzion.com. If it's a template for something similar to his "blu-series" that you want, then it's not difficult to create on your own. All you need is the dimensions of 3173 x 1762 at 300 ppi (pixels per inch), then go wild. Last edited by aggienader08; 01-20-2011 at 09:32 PM. |

Now, as for centering the image. Are you skilled in photoshop for beginners? If so, then you could use guides placed at certain intervals throughout the cover in order to make everything centered. Simply go up to View > Place new guide. The blue guide-line will appear to the left of the window and you can pull it to the center, vertical or horizontal. The guide should automatically slightly snap to the center as you click and drag it across the canvas. In order to get the center of the layer (or part of the image) to "click" to the center of the guide, simply go up to View > Guides > Click to Guide. ![]() The "middle cover" that i was referring to is the part between the front cover and the back cover, where is "Alice in Wonderland" title logo, disney logo and it usually has 11mm. I don't know the name of that so i called "middle cover" lol. Anyways, when i try to copy that "Alice in Wonderland" title logo to paste on a blu-series cover it comes with the background of the original cover. My question is how can i take that easily? I tried a way, but i have to get a high res image and in title logos like matrix or 300 it's nearly impossible to do that. How do you guys do? |
