Agreed as well, as a huge fan of the movie I'm hoping to be able to have it upon completion. That is if dv8pdx would allow me to have it.

It's nice. It would be better if you used the movie tagline "You Don't Get To 500 Million Friends Without Making A Few Enemies." instead of what's on the front, but it's good.

I think it's Caslon, not sure which one though.... You could try plugging in some the text here.

Thanks Trist. For some reason, I thought you've always been over here at blu-ray.com. Welcome to this side! lol

For those that don't know, Tristancol is the owner/mod at euphoricFX.org - one of the best cover sites around with 24,000 cover art images, nearly 97,000 resources and studio templates... and best of all, it doesn't cost anything to join!

Tristancol, Lucan63, hoofer, aggie all are extremely helpful for those wanting to learn, or looking for Hi-Res art work for your next project here at blu-ray.com - and if they don't have it, 90% or more of the time, they can find it or make it!

There are many great cover sites out there... I'm just a little partial to this one and its members.

So if you need help, need covers, or first time resources... check them out!
tell em dv8pdx sent ya!

If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have been able to make the work I have posted here!

Not trying to spam here, just offering a great resource location for custom cover designers.

Maybe it's just me, but I love the look of this as is. I love the starkness of the back with the snow and just love the negative space (especially for this movie). I think more background text is just going to busy it up. I wouldn't normally feel this way, but with this cover it just feels right.

I would definitely go with the second one, without the blue highlight. I think the blue highlight detracts from the image and kinda draws your eye to it when you look, and you can't appreciate the rest of the image. the white lettering against the black background also looks more natural. Nice cover by the way...

Edit: Don't forget your signature too! Don't want people snaking your work! And I like seeing "cover designed by" on my custom covers too!

I also prefer the 2nd one. The front looks great - what do you think about a smaller, compressed font for the back specs (and maybe the numbers '2' and '3')?

+1

Slightly smaller font would probably draw more attention to the pic behind it, I really like that idea...

I like the second one as well. I would suggest a smaller font on the back for the details. That might also give you a little room for a synopsis if you like. You could also try adding a slight gradient behind the text. That might make it a little easier to read the bits over his hand.
You also might try roughing up the 2 and 3 a bit sort of like The Trilogy on the front.

Keep at it, you're off to a great start
