Nah you won't get in trouble, but why would you want the official artwork? Man there are some customs that some guys have made on here that will put the official artwork to SHAME! I dunno anywhere where the official is posted tho...

So yeah, I had all of the resources that I downloaded and all of my "works in progress" if thats what you want to call them on my laptop. I just got my laptop. My laptop Hard Drive crashed. Now granted nothing looked all that good because its all right now just a learning experience... but it still SUCKS that any progress that I had made to this point is GONE... I am now very upset... upset indeed...

has anyone made a Tron Collection cover? One that would fit a basic double disc for just the two feature movies, and no extra discs?

Ive found all the Tron and Legacy covers, but none that feature both?

Thanks!

I may have to give that a try. The photo paper that I use often has the problem with sticking to the plastic cover unless I spray a coating over them and let it dry first.

By any chance, do you know if they make brochure paper in 8 1/2 X 14 size? For what ever reason, for the life of me, I cannot get the printer that I have to print a Blu-Ray cover on a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper. No matter how I set it, it ALWAYS cuts off a very small part at the end, and I end up having to print it up in two pieces and connect them myself.

I print directly from Photoshop so I've never had an issue fitting a cover on 8.5x11 brochure paper. Ive never seen 8.5x14 in the stores (usually 8.5x11 or 11x17) But if you do a google search for "HP Brochure paper 8.5x14" you can order it online from several companies.

has anyone made a Batman Begins/Dark knight cover? i know 'Knight Rises' is coming out next year, but that means its still at least 1.5 years till the Blu of that.

Just something simple, ive seen the one with just the Bat symbol on the front, but no specs on the back. something like that would be cool i think..

Well, your advice here helped me in a round-about way!

I don't have, nor did I use brochure paper, but...

Normally I haven't printed from photoshop directly (guess I should have been), and for the life of me I couldn't get an entire cover to print in the other programs that I was using without at least a small amount of it getting cut off no matter how I adjusted the settings. I think this has largely in part to do with the printer itself (I won't go into more detail than that as it would just become a big convoluted explanation).

But, I used Photoshop for printing after reading your post, and I was able to adjust the settings to get it to print the way I want it to.

I the print with preview option, I unchecked the center option, and moved the image up much closer to the top of the page. And when I printed after that, the whole image printed on one page.

I don't have any brochure paper, but I did have some HP everyday use semi-gloss photo paper sitting around. However, after some trial and error with it and the settings of the printer (which is an HP printer and has settings for a lot of different types of their own brands of paper, but for some reason there wasn't a specific listing for the particular type I was using here), I ended up using the brochure paper setting to print with, at normal DPI, and the end result ended up looking great!

It's not oversaturated, it was nice, clean, and best of all, when I put the cover in a case, I didn't get the sticky issue from the past.

I may look into brochure paper down the road, but as I have a decent amount of this semi gloss paper on hand and it's working pretty well, I'll just use that for now.

Thanks again!

i use HP Brochure Paper 180g Glossy and it's almost just like the paper that the original artwork is printed on. once i print my covers and cut them they look as good as the original or better.

another piece of software you can use to print your covers is undercoverxp, which is what i use. it's free to download and it comes with a lot of presets for cover printing and printing jobs, but i did my own measurements and made my own presets for certain types of cases.

I hope so, I was just starting to learn how to use some of the cooler tools like layer masks and such too... I wasn't TOO far along with anything, but I had downloaded a bunch of resources that not all came from the same location, so now I'm gonna have to find em again

Oh well I guess crap happens... It has been a great learning experience and I got a bunch more to learn, hooray for doing stuff over!!!

I doubt anyone will even wanna try and tackle this but I thought I would ask anyway. Anyone thought of doing covers for the Mill Creek Double Features of
Galaxina/The Crater Lake Monster & The Last Gun/Four Dollars of Revenge that resemble and old Grindhouse Double Feature? I think those 2 double features fit the style and it would be cool to see a Grindhouse style cover for them

Anyone have a "Stand By Me" cover? The official one is TRASH. Have you seen the print quality? It's SUPER grainy...

If no one has one I may put one together... But i'd rather get one from this talented pool!

Anyone have a custom Garden of Sinners cover? I have an 8 disc case, I put the discs in it. It comes in a ridiculous box, much better in a regular case.

Sure, here yo go. If you wondering why it looks familiar, it's because 'wormraper' @ r1db took my front+spine and called it his own...

I tend to try and stay away from r1db but do use them for scans and some customs. I mostly try to go to the original artist and ask him/her for a direct link to a cover

Guys, are there any nice customs for Scooby-Doo/Scooby-Doo 2? I got the double-pack but that cover is soooo lame... I'd like a nice coverart for both, may they be individual or together. Thanks a lot! =)
