Technically you don't pay for the covers just the privilege to download the covers and use the necessary bandwidth.
The replacethecase.com is giving me a weird message when I try to register. It keeps telling me The e-mail address you entered is not allowed to be used." Really odd message. Tried @yahoo emails and @gmail. No dice on 4 different emails.

These custom covers are really great. What software can be used to make BD covers?

People here use everything from Photoshop to Paint. The more advanced are Photoshop and Corel Paint Shop Pro.

I see. I'm looking for a cheap, easy to use program where I can make covers for burned BDs. I'm issuing some of my projects on Blu-ray and want to be able to make simple covers for them. Can anyone recommend a program for what I want to do?

Thanks!

I'd like a easy to use program as well for the very same reason. I am not sure if there's one out there though.

One of these two statements I can declare as true. GIMP is free. Is ease of use is heavily debatable, it has many features though that line up with those features of Photoshop which I perceive custom cover artists using.

OK, everyone; for those who are interested, I've updated my Photoshop templates for Blu-Ray covers, based on practical measurements I did with a metal ruler this morning. I then cut some paper inserts to check the sizes, and they fit perfectly. So, here's the numbers, for anyone who wants them. You can find the templates at this link.

Viva Elite 1-3 Disc Case
Physical Measurements: 10 & 9/16" x 5 & 7/8"
Insert Dimensions: 3170 x 1760 pixels (spine is 130 px)

Vortex 3-4 Disc Case
Physical Measurements: 10 & 3/4" x 5 & 7/8"
Insert Dimensions: 3230 x 1760 pixels (spine is 190 px)

Vortex 5-6 Disc Case
Physical Measurements: 10 & 7/8" x 5 & 7/8"
Insert Dimensions: 3260 x 1760 pixels (spine is 220 px)

Ugh, got Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist and there is a sticker on the case for the already expired Digital Copy! The stick left a ton of crap on the cast clear plastic cover when I tried to remove it. Lame digital copies.

Not a bad start, but I'd suggest you keep the motion blurs and logos consistent on all six of them. Also, the whole "George Lucas Presents" tag really isn't needed, since almost everyone over the age of 12 in a prospering society knows who he is.

Not a big fan of the titles used for the PT posters.

I understand your concern. However I feel they are far superior to the generic titles given on some of the posters (episode 1, episode 2, episode 3 in the same exact horizontal box). They're much more reminiscent to the original trilogy titles. I like them.

I used them from shadow copying them from poster source material.

I attempted to use the original poster "A style" for ESB, but the best quality sources I had wouldn't look great, so I went with "B style". I'm in the process of making scans from my Star Wars Poster Book to get higher resolution scans.

I'll repost when ESB is redone with the style A.

theyīd be far better if those stripe and rainbow effects werenīt used on the poster-art... I mean, just use the untempered art. They donīt get better than that. The deletion of JarJar from the Phantom Menace poster really sucks. Look like color-copies on a broken machine. I donīt mean to offend you, itīs just my opinion, sorry.

I agree. What's the point of deleting Jar Jar? You have face up to the fact that he's going to be in the movie when you pop the disc in. Why torture yourself by trying to forget about him, then have the sudden horrifying realization come crushing in-- "oh yeah, THAT guy." By keeping him on the cover, it sort of eases and prepares you for the pain, kind of like giving yourself a chance to stretch before you suddenly find yourself doing a 5 mile marathon run, or easing into an ice-cold swimming pool before putting your junk in.

Other than that I like those custom covers
