I second that. I use Undercover XP for printing Blu-ray covers and it has never let me down. It's a free download online.
Regarding my James Bond covers an interesting point has been raised by the 007 fan community. My intention is to use the original theatrical poster art as much as is feasible. It has been pointed out that all the posters for the 1989 movie "Licence to Kill" use the British spelling - yes even the U.S. posters. , Since then the U.S. covers have traditionally reverted to using the American spelling "License". The feeling among the fan community seems to be that I stick with the original promotional material and retain the British spelling. Being a dual U.S./U.K.citizen I have no issue with that but wondered what the non-007 fan community's position would be. Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-22-2011 at 09:33 AM. |

![]() On my Terminator 2 commission I stuck with the US spelling of Judg(e)ment because that's how it's always been on the posters. Likewise, for my custom covers I stick with the U.S. colo(u)r etc. when I intend it to replace a U.S. cover. For a U.K. release I'd use British spelling. |

As promised, here's my Ben-Hur updated with actual specs.
(I hope I get to do this for my wishlist customs like the Lundgren Punisher or Cyborg some day. When I made my first Rocketeer, that hadn't been announced, so I may just be a positive jinx on future releases. Build it and they will come...) ![]() Download by PM |

Update:
Casino Royale(1967): ![]() Goldfinger: ![]() The World is Not Enough: ![]() I bundled my Casino Royale Blu-Ray with the edited DVD of the 1954 TV movie, hence the special features listing. I would change this listing for people if there is an interest. The Casino Royale custom cover was a challenge because there is so little in the way of high resolution imagery. What I found were typically of Ursula Andress (for reasons that are not hard to guess at) which is why the cover turned out the way it did. For such an iconic movie as "Goldfinger" it has the weakest selection of movie posters out there. Plenty in high resolution of 2,000 x 3,000 pixels but no real striking imagery. The golden girl's rear end is covered up by Connery in every poster which was evidently some 1960s censor issue. Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-22-2011 at 08:48 PM. |

I have a choice of 4 posters (all in high resolution) for Licence to Kill. I am just in two minds which one to use for the cover. What are peoples thoughts?

Quick question.
Where do you get the fonts and logo's and such that's on the back and spine of the Star Wars covers? My brother is making me some custom covers for Star Wars, TESB and ROTJ and i just want it to look as fox-y as possible ![]() |

A really good source for that kind of thing is the "Brands of the World" website. Accounts are free, and they have tons of logos and symbols in various formats.

Speaking of Brosnan (who is BTW my least favorite of the Bond actors), here is the WIP I have put together for "Goldeneye" which happens to be my favorite of the Brosnan era of 007 movies (which really isn't saying much). There are a number of template items in play such as the AVTAK material, but I'm really looking for opinions on the cover. There are in fact six elements and two posters involved in the cover art. ![]() |

The placement of Brosnan in the muzzle on the back looks a bit neither/or. Maybe you should just give up on including the gun? Or find a smaller picture that lets you include both comfortably? |

The Brosnan with the gun was a central image for all the posters for "Goldeneye" that I have (which is several) going as far back as the teaser poster so I would need to find a really compelling image to replace it with. It's really interesting how slightly different the "Goldeneye" posters are, all have a slightly different theme with a similar style, as such its easy to assume at a cursory glance that they are all the same. But I found a top half that I liked with a naff lower half, and a second poster with a naff top half and a interesting bottom half. As such the poster art I have looks like the theatrical poster art, but it actually has never existed anywhere. To keep this lower half and be faithful to that poster Brosnan and the 2 girls would be in grayscale. Despite lacking in color its also less flattering (IMO) poses by Famke and Isabella. To keep the top half of this image and be faithful I would have just one explosion and an image of Brosnan running, none of the truck crashing into the St Petersburg river etc. Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-23-2011 at 12:07 PM. |

In a spare moment I decided to throw together a non-007 custom cover. This is quite literally what I had after less than 5 minutes: ![]() Yes, I plan to put the three DVDs with the LaserDisc transfer of the unaltered movies and the Bonus Materials DVD in a 4-disc Viva Elite case and put it alongside the Lucasfilm release of last week on my shelf. In all likelihood I will replace TESB with this high res image. That way I can get Luke on the poster: ![]() That's my next project after I get done with the James Bond covers. ![]() Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-23-2011 at 03:49 PM. |
