The full dimensions for the finished poster will be 41 x 27 inches, at 300 pixels per inch. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
These are just about the largest I could find. One of them has some Neboulus stars but you can erase them.

BTW, for a poster, you can easily get away with 150dpi. The big 2m roll-ups I do are printed in 150dpi. They're not fine art prints. A starfield is such a simple graphic, you'd be amazed how much upscaling you can get away with if you can't find anything large enough.

I'm hoping you'll show us the finished piece here, even if it is a bit off-topic.

There are also a number of tutorials online concerning how to create a starfield in Photoshop.

I needed such a graphic as a background to my "Star Wars" custom cover (see a couple of pages back) and after not finding what I was looking for online decided to create my own starfield.

Unfortunately no. And I stumbled across that B-style poster searching for hi-res prints of the original one sheet. I like that one as well.

And now that custom cover is associated with the DVD collection on Amazon...

Going to be a lot of confused people over there now.

Thanks, but I could only save one of them. The first came up as "403 - Forbidden".

Thanks for the tip. I guess I'm just used to 300 dpi, after doing covers for so long. Also, you gave me an idea I'd easily have overlooked, otherwise. I can take the biggest one on my hard drive, and use it as a guide with some star-shaped Photoshop brushes, to make my own!

You can count on it! I'll also be posting it on the convention board itself, so folks can download a copy for their own use.

Yes, I plan to put the three DVDs with the LaserDisc transfer of the unaltered movies and the Bonus Materials DVD in a 4-disc Viva Elite case and put it alongside the Lucasfilm release of last week on my shelf.

In all likelihood I will replace TESB with this high res image. That way I can get Luke on the poster:

That's my next project after I get done with the James Bond covers.
ANy chance you can do individual pieces as I have the movies in distinct cases. I would love that.

He was an after thought. They were not going to have him in the poster and threw him in after. Any poster with him was done after to appease his ego.

Hmm...I'll see how the multi-pack goers first and if it works out then I'll do individual covers.
Not going to start it really until I get done with the James Bond covers. Speaking of which:

Unless it's released on a retail DVD and available in stores I don't call it legit. It will never appear in sales charts or be included in bundle deals.

****ing hell! I just explained that!

I only came on here to post a nice picture I hacked together. Why can't you pedantic, nit-picking bastards just leave it alone?

This is why I hate posting ANYTHING on internet forums. Just **** off, man.

Where's the best place to get hi-res pics of movie posters and stills? Google? I'm looking for some stuff for Star Wars OT.

At the end of the day does anyone really care if it received a DVD release or not?

I can name a number of pretty good movies that have yet to be released on DVD - never mind Blu-ray.

Replaced a low res placeholder image on the back cover with a hi-res photo:

I intentionally used an image of Pierce with a white shirt to increase the amount of white on the page. I replaced the original black around the TV screens with white, cut out Pierce's black suit and increased the size of Pierce's head, then cut out the black bottom of the poster. Cutting out Pierce's suit then required some additinal clone stamp action on Teri and Michelle's dresses and arms.

I then removed the black layer on the TT and placed it on the bottom of the page, making sure that the gray 007 did not cover up any of the image.

Overall the finished result is a lot better than I had hoped for. The posters for TND have the same problem as for GE and TWINE - namely they feature A LOT of black. Thank goodness for Nissen

I would suggest you add some colors to the collar instead. The more I look at the pic, the more it looks just Pierce's big head stick on the poster without any shirt. Quite ugly... On the contrary, the other 2 women look quite nice.
