Hey I just didnt know who made what? If you put it on a cover I'm going to give you props. The Michael image was cool to me so I gave it props, I also enjoyed the WHOLE COVER, didn't mean to get people up in arms.

The people who post customs here are SUPERBLY ARTISTIC individuals. I have a few art bones in my body as well (with a pencil, or spray paint can )and I can not say enough great things about the work they do. Please keep up the good work!

Why does someone need a Sorority Row cover? Didn't this piece of garbage JUST come out in theaters? Why do you need a cover for a movie that won't even be released for 4-6 months?

Nor did I, and I also thought it was great, no matter if the cover was offical as it were, none the less, why run the poster off with the rude talk. Several folks who posted here no longer do because of such things. Very sad as this is a hobby, to me, I thought? Thanks.

I didnt think he was being rude, just pointing out fact. The front of that MJ cover is a studio made image. That's no knock on the cover at all. I think the reason some folk stop posting is because their stuff was being uploaded from here to other sites without giving proper credit to the person who made them.

Yes I know, but all I'm asking is why? Are you going to put an empty case on your shelf? How do you know the studio won't use that same art for the real release?

and I just like seeing how it would look on blu-ray is that a problem

Anyone have the Austin Powers Collection covers that will fit original Blu-ray cases?

I like the covers they came with but they're the slim cases which I hate.

I can't seem to find the same covers that will fit regular Blu-ray cases so far.

Yes that's true. The rudeness has run me off and I used to love this thread. I was thinking about posting some of my stuff here at one time, but now that thought has escaped me completely. It's also run off a couple of the best artists in this thread like dv8 and bpmford, a couple of guys I would consider colleagues because of the great communication we used this once great thread for.

Then you guys came in with your "requests" and started chopping everything to bits. No offense, but I'm going to say something that others I'm sure have been afraid to come on here and say: We don't do your ridiculous requests like 'Sorority Row', which we have no interest in. We also have no interest in using our valuable time on a program which we learned all on our own time in order to serve you and create what you want. We're not running a business here where you have the right to make a request and have us fulfill it down to the T. Like mikey said, this is a hobby for us which we do on our own time and in our own way.

I would recommend for the future: When you have a request simply state it once, b/c these guys (including me) still check this thread everyday, no matter if they're no longer wanting to reply, and if there is no reply that your request wil be attempted, then leave it alone.

Great post and I agree but since the artists no longer do covers and post them here and the rude people cant seem to change their ways then what is the point of keeping this thread open?

Oh and this is a question for all the cover artists out there: I was just wondring why more standard DVD covers are still being made at all the sites instead of BD covers? Go to any cover site and new BD covers just dont get added that often.

thanks Craig. Ya know you've contributed a lot to this thread as well. I just can't figure out for the life of me when and where the disrespect started to develop here. I'm sure if one looked back they could see what it was and who said what to whom that caused all the great contributors to run off. Whoever or whatever it is, I'm not happy about it at all.

I run into this problem. On the cover site which I contribute to they don't have enough BD cover designers. I'm one of maybe 3 or 4. Fewer people have made the jump to BD than you might think. + BD cases are a lot harder to come by than standard DVD cases. I hope it will all change soon because I like designing BD accessories a heck of a lot more. You have more to work with.

This thread should always remain open, no matter what the circumstances, because whether you confirm or deny we have had a great thing going on this thread before. It just needs to be cleaned up a bit. People need to learn the etiquette of this thread.

when one posts a custom cover, do not post a negative comment or a comment regarding your own "preference" about a design unless the artist specifically asks you for comments, positive or negative. Obviously these designs come from the mind of the designer, so they know what fits and doesn't fit.

If you don't like a design for some reason, then there is no room for one of your comments, unless of course the design itself is in some way offensive to you, which you would be better off reporting to the mods or pming the designer directly.

And lastly, if you have a request simply display that request once and once only. Out of the respect for the artists/designers, they do not exist on this thread in order to serve you and spend their valuable hobby specially designing a request you've made a hundred times.
