Can't recommend specific models as I'm on the other side of the pond, but what you have to watch out for is not the price of the printer but the ink cartridges. (Or toner for laserprinters).

I've always used low-to mid-priced inkjet printers myself. Canon and HP models. Just make sure you get one with separate cartridges for all the colours, so you don't have to replace them all just because the yellow ran out (been there). While you're at it, get yourself a multifunction printer with a scanner as well.

My latest Canon (MG5250) makes EVERY print come out reddish/orange. It's practically unusable for printing artwork. I can't seem to compensate for it either. (My older Canon (MP610i) gives me perfect colour.) Try before you buy and buyer beware.

It's my favorite of the "Star Wars" posters, but that's largely a nostalgia reaction because I remember examining the poster as I waited to go see the movie outside the Berwick Playhouse

Here is the current state of the WIP that will include:

Original Theatrical Edition DVD
Special Edition Blu-ray
Blu-Ray ANH Special Features

I also question how legible the movie posters will be as picture frames on the side when fully printed.

Otherwise, seems fine as a start.

Not sure about the spine poster either. But I'll see where it takes me.

Right now trying to figure out which way to go as far as TT on the front.

Kinda like the front.
But the X-Wing image on the reverse is upside down.

Good catch, checked the original image and indeed it was saved upside down...I really wanted a large image of the Death Star which I would have in a quarter profile so the movie info could be wrapped next to it.

I dumped the info box that I had below the images since the two versions of the movie have vastly different technical specs and even runtimes. Replaced it with the obligatory credits using the Top Billing font which I have never used before. Makes a refreshing change from Universal Acc.

^^ I love this Star Wars art. I've always liked the image with Luke holding the gun instead of the light saber for Episode IV (hence the giant poster in my man cave with that image )

Anyone got cover art for the Godfather Coppola Restoration Collection or for Spartacus: Blood and Sand? Thanks in advance

Indeed. After all, in outer space which way is right side up?

I might have to go with the 1-sheet for "The Empire Strikes Back". The Quad just doesn't work as well (see image of the British Quad version below).

I'm also wondering about consistency as far as the TT goes? use the same TT for all the covers or go with the theatrical poster's TT's...Thoughts, comments?

I think uniformity in the spine is great and always wanted.

The TT is optional, but I think it adds something to keep it uniform.

But that sir is just me.

[Show spoiler]

I think these are coming out wonderful. Quite unique and unlike any other Star Wars customs I've seen. Don't change a thing.

BUT... on the back, is the Falcon flying upside down or is that image flipped? You're not having much luck with those ship images, are you

Maybe use the same TT on the spine as the fronts? For consistency, you know.

... and the colours on the front poster look yellowed. Here's a hotlinked image of the poster with the colours I'm used to:

For the first Star Wars, I think you could do well to enlarge the front image a little bit. You can safely cut off Luke's foot with the TT without it looking messed up, methinks. I'm guessing you're going to be adjusting the scale of the artwork to be consistent across all three eventually, right?

Otherwise, don't change a thing!

The Falcon IS the right way up.
Don't listen to Nissen - he obviously knows nothing about Star Wars

I have the Star Destroyer approaching the Death Star from the opening sequence lined up as my ROTJ back.

I also do not want to take away from the images by putting too much text on the back cover. It seems almost redundant to give a synopsis since everyone knows what the movies are about. I am even toying with dropping the entire TT from the front covers and letting the poster art sit by themselves.

For Nissen :

Does anyone have a link to the new, single-disc (and currently Target-exclusive) version of Casablanca that was just released?

I bought the box set, love the presentation and all the extra swag and features, but I was wondering if anyone has a link to the new single-disc cover art? I'm contemplating moving the BDs over into an Amaray case, as I feel that putting the digipak on my shelf may ruin it, being pure white and relatively thin and all.

Also, what sort of paper do people usually print custom covers on? Is this something I should take to Kinko's? I only plan to do it with this release.

D'oh! I mistook the shielding tower on the Star Destroyer as the cockpit of the Falcon. I need glasses or a bigger monitor.

No worries, you made me look

The real clue is the SD. If the Falcon was upside down then the SD would have to be flipped, making it (the SD) upside down.

I meant flipped left-right, not upside down. It looked like the cockpit was on the wrong side for a moment. I tried using that very image for those covers I showed earlier, but I needed it to cross over into the spine and it looked too messy.

Good job on the new colours for the Empire poster. What happened there?

I changed the poster I used. The original poster I was using had the images in yellow:

I'll offer both versions, personally speaking the colors are too muted for my tastes in your version of the poster.

Work is underway on ROTJ though it's far from being done:

I plan on using this image for the back, after some Photoshop repairs of course:

i am aware that there is a size difference between the spines this is due to me being indecisive about what size boxes to use
I want these so bad!!!!!

So, anybody have a scan of the Target exclusive single-disc version of Casablanca? Someone posted one in the Casablanca thread but it was a low-res 640x352 scan.

Or does anyone have some really cool custom art for Casablanca?
