I was tempted to put the image of Martin and Candy in the fourth spot but then I'd need to figure out something for the back. The way I see it, between the rental counter lady's line ("You're f---ed") and Paramount's cover for the SE DVD, the idea of getting screwed is simply part and parcel of the film itself.

Maybe I'll do a revision in the future when I have some more Photoshop experience under my belt.

Again, if anyone ever wants something that I post on here I'd gladly remove the collection piece for them, so I don't see the big deal if I want to have that look or not?
Amen brother. . I've gotten some flack as well for mine. But then I'll have a bunch of people tell me how good they look. You can't please everyone. Just yourself really.

Just thought I'd bump this ... if anyone has seen something like this or is working on something like this please let me know!! Thanks

And thanks!

And I agree - this stuff can get confusing. I'm just starting out myself.

By the way, does anyone know where to get a good Universal template? The one on EuphoricFX is good but doesn't have any of the text boxes (U-Control, Pocket Blu, etc.) and a poster on this forum has one but he uploaded it to Megaupload which isn't operating anymore.

I know that you mentioned you had a few ideas, have you ever considered using something like acrylic sheets or plexiglass? I've been researching this and it doesn't look like it would be that difficult to make a box of the size that you want. While I've got the time to do this, it seems like it would be pricey (an acrylic sheet with the appropriate dimensions seems to start at $20 and go up). Considering the films themselves only cost $15 I'm not prepared to put that much money into it. Though I have to admit I think an acrylic box with a red tint and the labels affixed on the inside would look really cool for Blade. I'll keep brainstorming, thanks again for the insight.
So I had decided to try this anyway. I made a box for 3 blu-rays with a plexiglass sheet from Home Depot. The sheet was 4 bucks and I was able to use a table saw to cut down to the dimensions I needed it. Not too bad. I put it together and it was sturdy enough to hold 3 blu-rays. Unfortunately I gave up because printing and applying a lable turned proved to be more difficult and costly then I thought it would. I will keep trying though.

Any chance your planning to make covers for each film?

Rusty's 'The Dark Knight Rises' cover reminded me that I needed to change the DC Comics logo on my own DC Collection cover and so I did. I also added pictures to the back but couldn't decided which one so made 3 WIP versions with 3 different covers.

I agree! I like the old one they had before best. I don't get why DC is always trying to re-brand it'self..

Was working on re-making the cover for The Avengers (the retail one.) The official has some flaws, and i wanted to improve it, so i completely remade it using material provided by the awesome guys in the hi-res movie posters thread. The left one is the official, the right one is my remake.

Used the Assemble title for comparison sake, but how is it? Tried to have Cap in front, but he really doesn't have any poses suitable to be in the center of a picture likes this, that's where Iron Man is much more flexible visually. Its a bit dark, but that's more because of the file. (At least on this screen, have to work on my tv screen until further notice so it may differ.)
