Any chance of custom work for Savages? The retail artwork is awful.

I keep finding small things to adjust as I find better sources for the original covers.

Right now I'm struggling to determine the exact placement of the spine logos like in the US retail covers. Does anyone have an actual scan of one of the original covers, not a rebuild based on the Euro template?

Here are the covers so far:

Nice work! Unfortunately I no longer have these editions so I can't make a scan, but I am a fan of this style. I especially like the spines. They're simple and elegant. I was pretty pissed when MGM didn't go forward with the set. With the slip covers, these looked great lined up on the shelf.

Could someone post some links to places where I can download good quality custom cover art to print off myself, that's free?
Ones that will fit in regular blu-ray cases. Not criterion cases. PDF files preferably

Thanks Rizor.

No one else has come forward with offers of a scan so far either.

I anticipate a limited, but devoted, number of people will want to complete the set and print these to match the ones they bought in 2008. That's why I want them to be spot-on, so that they blend in with the official ones from all angles. I would hate for the Blu-ray logo on the spine to be placed differently to the retail cover next to it.

Next up will be Octopuzzy, to pick up the gauntlet Drrnharr threw down regarding the spine logo. :-)

Well, most of the cover sites worth their salt require at least some sort of registration, so I hope you'll be prepared to do at least that.

I'm by no means well-travelled in cover sites, but AFAIK EuphoricFX is the only one of the reliable sites where downloading is free (may change in the near future). You'll have to make a certain number of posts on their forums first to qualify for downloads.

I can also recommend CustoManiacs (for quality) and R1DB (for quantity), but they both require you to purchase points for downloads.

Be wary of sites that offer downloads for free, because there are unfortunately a lot of shady sites with malware and virus-infested links out there. (Like the warez and torrent scene.) Better stick with the established sites like EuphorixFX, CustoManiacs or R1DB. These sites also guarantee a certain standard of quality when you download, unlike some sites I've come across.

The standard format on all of the good cover sites is High-rez JPEGs at 300dpi resolution (accept no less). None of them offer PDFs. PDF is an industry standard that would be overkill/inconvenient for most users. All covers are designed for standard Blu-ray cases, not the Criterion type unless specifically noted. The covers are made to the exact measurements, with no bleed area like you'd find on covers meant for professional printing.

There is a site which converts the JPEGs to PDF for ease of printing, http://www.printdvdcover.com/, but it alters the artwork to a fit-all dimension that may not fit all. It may just be what you need.

Hope that helps any.

Some printed James Bond covers from DrrnHarr and Deep Rising from Nissen.
Printed these at the request for my most recent customer.
Crappy cell phone pic really doesn't do them justice.

Nissen, which of the James Bond covers do you want scanned? Any one of them in particular, a few? I'm happy to do it, though I don't claim to be a wizard at scanning. It might take a few tries to get it right. But I can help.

That is very cool. I like the shadow of the Ripper coming down the street. The original art is so iconic I can understand why they've used it for the VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray now, but it's nice to see something different for that movie.

Thank you, Sir.
Someone has already offered to send me a few scans, so that should be sufficient.
I appreciate the offer very much all the same.

Anyone happen to have one for American Beauty? The one listed isn't available anymore and I really hate the official art.

Thought I would put up a little page to show off the covers I have done for myself. I know that 99% of these are really crappy and most use art from other covers I have found on other sites/google image search. I did not create any of the "Amazing" artwork I simply modified it for my liking. I'm not sharing these or anything I am just having a little page to show off the covers I have created using mspaint (I just cut and paste the stuff) I made all of these for my own personal use so please don't go off on a tirade about me using images created by other people. I just wanted to share what I have spent the last week doing with people here

Hopefully the link is correct
