Dude! That is AMAZING work! Love the Willow & Sucker Punch (almost enough to buy the movie just for this since I hated it! ) customs.

Also love the Nintendo cover for Wreck it Ralph (this will be a great companion piece for my Nintendo cover for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World).

Again, PM me for the link - I need a break now.
Has anyone printed these up yet? I'm wondering what kind of paper I should use?

Hi guys,

Just wondering what program is best for making/printing covers similar to those above?

I've seen some great work and would love to give it a shot myself!

What software do you guys use to create the 3D box shots ? I think I can figure out how to do the cover art but I wonder if there is any cheap software that can create professional-looking box shots - especially stacked ones.

Thanks,
-D

I use a Photoshop Action to get my 3D shots of my customs on a Bluray box but for the higher quality 3D images that Nissen and some others use I believe it is the commercial software Imandix.

I'd buy those Austin Powers steelbooks. Love the colors. The sub title font is a bit small though.

I've been working on a slipcover for "Lord of War." I don't have anything for a back yet (anyone want to assist?) and I'm a unsure about the image on the spine (it looks a little awkward to me) but I'm happy about the front and I'm glad I was able to find a high-quality Lionsgate slipcover banner. I'm still debating whether or not to use the new style banner or the old style banner, since "Lord of War" was in the first batch of Lionsgate releases ever.

Work in progress: Rush Hour Trilogy.

This was the hardest. Had to extract a lot of text on the picture and then color Jackie's suit black, instead of the poster-blue. Custom logo.

A Work In Progress currently going through the WIP process at EuphoricFX:

This custom breaks ground for me because of the imagery in one of the stills...why would Director John Boorman cast his daughter Katrine in that role?

I'm loving the look of this. Would it be possible to get a copy once you've finished?

LOVING what you're doing so far. I say stick with the newer look.

Thanks.

It will be posted on EuphoricFX.org once it is completed. Users are able to upload 10 items a day on that site for free after posting 10 "legitimate" messages in their forums. Its the closest thing I have come across to a free custom cover site.

Here is the WIP as it stands right now. Thanks go out to ctaulbee for invaluable advice and suggestions:

I love this movie and this looks pretty solid. I took a look over at EuphoricFX and saw you got some comments regarding adjusting the levels/colors of the front poster image. I think it looks too dark now and somewhat flat. I think the bottom of the back would look nicer on the Warner template. The electric blue spec grid looks somewhat garish. Regarding the tagline on the back, I personally I prefer the placement on the previous WIP. Maybe the sword in the stone image can be moved over to the right a tad to accommodate the tagline on the left?

Regarding the front, I don't know if it's usable, but Google turned up this image which I think looks better:

Hey Doc, did you type those taglines on the back cover or is this existing artwork? If it is your work, it might be better to put them all on one line together. Feels a bit distracting(busy) to these old eyes.

I wanted to ask if any of the fine artists here would be willing to help me out. I'll admit up front this is kind of a loaded request. I'd like to have some space-saving custom sets for the Halloween film series, but unfortunately I do not have the talent to create them. I like simple designs - mostly black and orange for something like this, with an image of Myers on the front (relative to "era").

I'll be happy to pay for your time and effort. Let me know if you're interested. Here are the contents I'm looking for...

Volume 1 (Anchor Bay, Scream Factory)
Disc 1: Halloween
Disc 2: Halloween (TV cut, DVD)
Disc 3: Halloween II
Disc 4: Halloween II (TV cut, DVD)
Disc 5: Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Disc 6: Halloween 4: The Revenge of Michael Myers

Volume 2 (Anchor Bay, Echo Bridge)
Disc 1: Halloween 5: The Return of Michael Myers
Disc 2: Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Disc 3: Halloween 666 Producer's Cut (DVD)
Disc 4: Halloween H20
Disc 5: Halloween Resurrection
Disc 6: Halloween: 25 Years of Terror documentary (DVD)

Volume 3 (Sony, Alliance)
Disc 1: Halloween (2007) unrated directors cut
Disc 2: Halloween II (2009) unrated directors cut
Disc 3: Halloween/Halloween II theatrical editions
Disc 4: Michael Lives documentary, plus supplements

Thank you!!
