YOU ARE FIXING DISNEY!

Thank god for you. The time and effort you're taking with these covers aren't going unappreciated. I'm personally extremely excited to get them. You're doing an awesome job!

Love it! But, just a little issue. The title seems to blend a bit too much into the picture in some parts. Perhaps you can make it "pop" more?

Between this and the Hercules I'm starting to think I need to redo all my Disneys into a Rebel collection. Excellent work keep it up.

I tried using the logo as is and it stuck out too much.
Different colors didn't seem to work.
So in the end, I decided to go for a burned wood sort of look and it seemed to work out better than the other options, I know it blends in a little bit, but I kind of like the effect it gives.

If there was any film that needed a themed slipcover or digipack, it would be that one.

Are there companies that make Slipcovers for the studios or do they do it themselves?

You guys can contact Willdta from the Custom Slip thread for a template. Cutting and assembly can take a while depending on your methods and precision, but the end result is worth it if you have nice materials and take your time. If you already have a decent color printer, all you need is sturdier photo paper, and a dedicated paper cutter and Xacto knife make things much easier.

Dimensions: 6.72" x 5.37" x 0.53"

The cases with locking tabs on the thumb area where you open it (I think they're from Vortex - Sony uses them) are thinner by approximately a sixteenth of an inch (doesn't sound like much but could mean that it could be very loose) so make sure you know what kind of case you'll be using beforehand. If there's enough demand I can make a picture tutorial when I have time.

Sadly, I think we'd be about as close to getting them to stop those as we'd be to getting people to stop using Comic Sans... none of the 3 are going anywhere.

Funny you mentioned that. I just downloaded Bank Gothic a month or 2 ago for my Event Horizon cover. I wouldn't see myself using it much, though.

Can anyone help me?!? I went to Kinko's to print out some covers and the guy who worked there printed them out for me
but they came out washed out. Colors are off and didn't have a true fit. What should I do? :/

What kind of paper did you print them on?
What size (in pixels) did you send to print?
And what DPI?

I have no idea. I just walked in and the guy did it for me.
I told him to use glossy paper though. That's the only thing he got right.

I've used my printer with regular paper and they've turned out nicely. Granted, they're not glossy, but then all you would need is full ink cartridges and glossy paper.

There's a trick to it, a process. You need high res images. It will be much larger than the actual size that you need. Don't dupe them down in photoshop. That's a good way to make your text blurry. Instead you should resize them in the actual printer app, using the scale feature.

Set it up to print on the length side. What I do is un-center it, which does away with some the cutting involved. The rest all depends on the size of the case. For a standard, single disc blu ray case, there needs to be a little under a half inch of space left on the right side. It might end up being slightly taller, but, hey, you end up cutting out the middle man.

You do this, as long as you have sufficient ink, decent paper, and a high res image, you should then have a cover with rich colors and sharp, readable text. Oh, make sure sure to print it out as "borderless." I've attached an image to help you out a little. (The cover is not my design. It was made by a guy named Ron Zoso from the Monster Kid Classic Horror Forum.)

Thanks for the guide but I can't do this at home which is why I went to Kinko's.

You don't even need an expensive printer. I use a $30 wireless printer. Though, the ink will go by fast, which is why I tend to be conservative with what I print, limiting it to releases that have impractical packaging (Star Wars, Alien, Indiana Jones, Universal Monsters, etc.).

I've never tried Staples or Kinko's. I guess it would be easier on my printer if I were to do so, but being that while a person at Kinko's should know how to print fine images, since conglomerates tend to hire anybody and everybody, particularly careless teenagers who have attachment issues with their phones, I just assume the results will turn out to be lackluster. I guess you could try to relay how you want it to be printed and how to do so properly, but good luck trying to get them to listen. They'll stop paying attention after you say "Hi!"
