I seriously have had too much going on in my life to do any custom cover work.

Does anyone know how to re-size a poster to fit a slipcover front?

I need it to fit this size: 1610x2035

Would need some serious manipulation without distorting it.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

... and a WIP for Chucky - The Complete Collection.

Actually inspired by the U.K. cover art, the client opted for the Grindhouse look which sets it apart from the U.S. retail covers. I rarely display WIP pieces. This is mostly locked, just awaiting final specs once the discs are released.

Much of the work I do I don't display in this thread because it is either not available to share, or just modifications of existing covers.

I am often asked to use the existing foreign covers and anglificate them, as well as change from DVD to Blu-ray size. This is the sort of "unsung" efforts I spend a lot of time doing for clients.

Oh man, Nissen that Child's play cover is awesome! I'll be anxious to see how it develops. Is the typeface 'Startling'? It's not something I would associate with the series at a glance, but it works really well on this style of cover.

Anyways, your work is one of the reasons I started reading this thread from beginning to end and finally ended up joining the site. So, thank you. Not only for sharing your work, but for sharing your process as well.

diggin the cover but the 'kaboom' esque comic font for the title really blows. i reckon get something a little bit comicy but also a little bit splattery.

here, I did an example of what I think would fit the cover much better.

That Muppet Movie one is great. I'm actually working on one using the same poster for the front; I've never been satisfied with any of the DVD covers or the new Blu-Ray cover.

Hi Im.

Actually, we went over this same thing a couple of years back when I made the Season 1 cover. You associate that font with Art Noveau, perhaps rightly so, but I associate it with Celtic runes.

As I said at the time, design is a language, and everyone reads it differently according to their experiences. I consider it a failure on my part to have used a font that someone could perceive differently than intended. Live and learn

Sorry, nothing for Friday 13th at this time. I've been asked to do several sets for Nightmare on Elm Street and other horror fare, but never anything for Jason.
