This isn't exactly Disney, but it has been in dire need of something better than the terrible studio cover...

EDIT: Remember earlier in the thread where I asked other designers if they went back and made changes to their designs after looking at them for a while? Well, I got to looking at the image on the front and had one of those "V8" moments. Above is the altered version.

Thanks, man. I really only make these for myself, but now and then, one will turn out good enough (I think) to post in public. I think this one turned out pretty good (for my skill level).

Is there a ballpark going rate to commission a custom cover? Or is it very individual in regards to pricing

It is usually individual to the person as well as what you are asking that person to do.

here is a Mad Max wip that i have been messing with. i will probably use the criterion layout but change it around to read something like "the apocalypse collection" or something along those lines and make it up for the three movie set. just going to toy around with it in my free time to see what takes shape.

Had some ideas for new covers to the twilight zone blu-rays, seasons 1 through 5. Not much of an artist myself so I'm trying to find an artist on here who would want to help out. Would pay you of course.

I would love to get some custom cover art for the following movies. I would be interested in commissioning someone to do these depending on their fees (I'm pretty naive to the probable amount of work that go into these and what they typically cost). I guess PM me if any artists out there are interested in doing any of this or have already done some of these:

Bundle Packs: I hate how most of them look, where the cover is divided up to show the individual cover art for each movie. I'd love something that ties them all together or covers all bases and looks good and uniform:

Kevin Smith Triple Feature (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back)
Fantastic Four Double Pack
Final Destination 4 Film Collection (or one with all 5 where I can just buy a 5 disc case)
Halloween Triple Pack (Curse, H20, Ressurection)
Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 combo
Kill Bill 1 & 2 combo
Superman Triple Pack (Superman, Superman II Richard Donner Cut, Superman Returns)
Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End)

Then there are a couple where I just don't like the cover art:

Hannibal Rising (UK import) - cover looks like some weird poorly photoshopped bootleg
The Wolfman (2010) - Floating Heads Syndrome - Would love something like the Universal Wolfman DVD set that had 3 movies.
Stargate 1994 movie (Would love one that looks like the original DVD cover - the first DVD I ever watched)

I think that was it. Either that or it had Russell and Spader floating heads on it as well, but the poster looks MUCH better.

Finally got my pc back after bringing it in for repairs and started working on the Captain America slipcovers again, and finally got the main design for the 3D version ready.

Forgive a rookie, but I have a question as far as printing. The printing thread is usually a graveyard so I thought I'd ask here.

When I print covers, they don't look quite right. The black never seems to look dark enough. I set it at photo paper, high quality and I'm printing on HP glossy brochure paper and the printer is a Canon MP490
