It's about 98% done but I had to share it.

(It was inspired, not just by the movie but also by this billboard.)

If I'm reading the rules correctly, downloads are limited to items that are older than 60 days. (And limited to 10 downloads per day.)

Ah, that sounds about right. I think the 60 day rule might be new, but at least you can still download some things without having to pay. That was the main reason I elected to upload my covers there instead of Customaniacs. I like Customaniacs, and I pay their fee, but I don't like the concept of having to pay for something that is free.

I've uploaded one cover to Customaniacs. Maybe it's changed but I found the process a little too cumbersome. I've done over 100 covers since starting this hobby almost two years ago - I'd like to redo several of them but at the same time, I need to start posting them elsewhere. EFX is nice but it's just one site.

Started some tests for A Fistful of Dollars tonight. I'm leaning toward the one on the left, but I'd like to hear any comments others may have...

I love the idea going with this cover but am not a fan of using the full modified quote. Lose the quote, and design the cover to look like his business card from the movie and leave it at that. Fans of the movie will instantly get the joke without the need to spell it all out for them.

Thanks. It's a work in progress... but for me, the joke is in repurposing the quote itself. I know I've seen at least one custom cover for this movie use the business card motif (with Patrick Bateman's name and info). I saw the picture of the billboard and thought it was a genius idea.

I don't think anything's being spelled out - in fact, you'd already have to be familiar with the movie to get it.

But I appreciate the comments!

Stayed up way past my bedtime last night, but got this done today. Uploaded at EuphoricFX for those that use that site, or drop me a PM with an email address if you want a full res copy.

Whenever I make a custom cover, is it better to port over the text and image to Illustrator since it's vector or does it really matter if it rasterizes?
I have tons of templates, logos and everything. Especially porting over EPS for credits into Photoshop.
I'm using all Adobe CS6 on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 via custom build.

EDIT: Also, I'd like to customize many 11mm Viva Elite spined covers into the 6mm Viva slims. Just use different templates?

Would anyone be able to make a cover for the Harry Potter 31st Bonus Disk for a Blu-Ray Case?
I can't work PhotoShop CS5 to save my life.
Many thanks in advance!

Anyone interested in making cover art based upon the recent Fox slips, the white ones? I'd be interested in buying two, Fight Club and Edward Scissorhands.

Let me know!

I agree with TripleHBK: great concept, but using the full quote not only makes the joke redundant (it spells out the joke because it IS the joke), it also simply doesn't look all that good composition-wise. It makes it cluttered when emulating something which is supposed to be simple.

Joke-wise, I'll have to plead ignorance. I'm usually pretty good with this but I don't know what I'm missing here.

Maybe I'll just put the blurb on the back and the blood splatter on the front instead.

Or I'll just take out the "All designed on Adobe Photoshop..." line.

Although For A Few Dollars More is my least favorite of the Eastwood/Leone trilogy, you can't exactly break up a 3-disc box with only two custom covers. So, here is the spaghetti western hat trick...

As with the others, uploaded at EuphoricFX.org, or shoot me a PM with an email that can take large files. If you go the email route, let me know which of the three you want.

It seems maybe you don't get the joke whose punchline you are trying to deliver? As another member said, fans of the film will get the joke without you having to literally spell it out for them.

That being said, the cover is put together nicely and if you like it and are happy with it, that's all that really matters!
