I recently added the Fox Blu-ray release of the Hepburn & Tracy classic Desk Set to my collection. Of course I made a cover using original one sheet art. I'm sure there aren't many, but if you want it, let me know or check it out at EuphoricFX.org.

Has anyone created or found someone who can create something to this effect but featuring vintage SW art only for maybe 4 or five discs ?

Like this but maybe smaller for less discs?

Ordered a copy of the German Blu of Howard the Duck, and really didn't like the front cover, although the back was quite nice, somewhat copying the "comic book" releases from Universal.

Came up with something more in spirit to the comic, using one of the best HTD covers they ever printed. Efforts below...

BTW, the printing is fine - I just really compressed the photo for easier upload.

Certainly did - I embraced my inner hack. For the front cover, used an issue of HTD which I customised (changed the 76 to 86 on he paper to reflect year of release, same with the issue date) very simply knocked up a spine, and reconstructed the German back cover from scratch, translating what was good and replacing what wasn't. Had fun making up a copyright warning, which is probably just as well you can't make the wording out in the pic!

Can't stress enough how awful the German cover is - enough to drive me to make a new one, anyway.

Speaking of which, my blu of Smokey & the Bandit turned up earlier, sporting possibly the worst piece of photoshopping seen on an English language cover. Guess what my next diversion is going to be...

It's really a shame Miramax has been keeping the Bronston epics off Blu-ray in the US, ostensibly with refreshed transfers. Circus World has been released in France and Germany, but with a fairly low bit rate encode, although a relatively nice transfer.

I was noodling on the computer today and this sprang forth...

One of the members here who has used some of my covers for the various Clint Eastwood films I've done using original art asked if I would consider getting back to some of the Eastwood films I haven't done. The Dirty Harry series was mentioned.

So, I started looking for decent elements for the fronts and things kept moving and I now have fronts and spines completed for the five Dirty Harry films. Here is a peek at the spines lined up...
