Usually when I do a cover for a movie like this, it is to have original one sheet art for the front cover. This cover actually uses the one sheet art from a 1962 reissue of the film. One sheets from '54 were just uninspired. I like this one.

I had made one a few months back, but wasn't really happy with it, so I reworked it some.

I know that sounds odd as I have the BDs, but the DVDs have been colour corrected

Thanks for the compliment. I tried the cover without the technical data on the back and the Columbia logo on the spine, but it just looked a little too plain for my taste.
Here was when I tried it with everything (except the artwork) converted to B&W:

And you are not being picky, everyone has their own tastes when it comes to covers. Thanks again for the comments/compliments.

Oh yeah! That version without the logos is superb! And now that I see it, I almost think it might even look good without the title on the front, maybe even perfect. I like a minimalist design sometimes.

Have you by chance done any more covers for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? I've been thinking about making an uncensored one using the poster that has Daniel Standing behind Rooney with his arm around her shoulders. But I still have to learn how to use photoshop first.

These are the only covers I have done for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Using Photoshop isn't too horrible, it just takes a lot of time and patience (something I think all cover creators can agree on). There are a lot of tutorials out there, just do a google search for 'photoshop tutorials'. If you need a template for blu ray covers, you can follow this link:

Thank you. There are a lot of covers I have ideas for. I need to get my butt in gear and learn me some photoshop.

Have you posted many covers in this thread? After seeing your Girl with the... cover art, I'd like to see more of your work.

I just started posting covers recently. If you look back through the last eight or ten pages, you will see some of the things I have been working on. The main set of covers I have been working on is recreating the CBS FOX video look for blu rays. Girl has been really the only cover which I have done in the minimalist style. Good luck with your creations.

I appreciate both for different reasons. I'm leaning more towards the second one, though. Nice job at either rate.
