It does look nice (the original cover is awful) but I don't get your wife's reaction, usually girls don't give a damn about movies, especially not how the cover of the media look.

We're both graphic designers. She thinks the original cover (with Furiosa and Max in a car) lack epicness. I kind of agree with her. The movie was the most epic thing in the cinemas last year and the cover was didn't deliever on that

This was a toughy. Almost no high quality elements out there to work from. After two weeks of trial and trial, managed to come up with something I was happy to print out. Specs are for the Australian disc, which has a surprisingly nice looking transfer, but only lossy DD 2.0 audio. Also note, this is the 116 minute cut of the film. IMDb says original running time is 131 minutes. Still better than the Blu-ray version available in the US.

I love that graphic novel image, but I kinda like the 3d art

She's right. The blu-ray cover made the movie look like Gone in 60 Seconds or one of the Fast & Furious movies.

I'm still having a hard time getting a movie poster to fit into the size of the front of a blu Ray cover without it looking distorted! how do you guys do it!

I love that Universal is using the original poster art for these blu-ray releases. But I started these covers a while back so I decided to finish them. If anyone wants any of the covers, PM me (with your email address) and I'll send the full resolution files. The resolution in the files below is significantly reduced.

This kind of applies to almost every poster made for modern movies. Gone are the days of 60's, 70's and early 80's where the art of the poster was at it's peak and made the movie. (Sometimes making the crappiest movie epic).

I FINALLY finished my custom cover for all 4 Jaws movies (reworking my original Jaws custom cover to match the sequels format). If you submitted a request to me as of 5/2 for the sequels, I'll automatically send all 4 custom covers. If you PM me after 5/2, let me know which cover(s) you want. Make sure you include your email address so I can get them to you. The files below are significantly reduced in resolution.
