The El Capitan advertises movies in Dolby Vision & Atmos but is not a Dolby Cinema. The projector is a twin laser with EDR.

Peter, congrats on breaking into the top 10 - https://forum.blu-ray.com/misc.php?d...osted&t=276605 . You should move into the #9 position in little time as I just realized the player above you has been eliminated ŕ la Squid Game.

They have their own power transformer and fire hydrant by the sidewalk.

* There's a sign in the door entrance widow that says you have to wear a mask before entering.

Rather than a few years ago, it now seems more like decades ago considering what we’ve all been thru by those who don’t believe in it - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post10417134

LOTR, the silvery box is the traffic signals control for that corner. (Guess that’s a murica thingy )

There are fire hydrants on almost every city street corner in the US. Even here in the town I live in here in the developing country of Papua New Guinea, in my role as chief of the volunteer fire dept we are looking at adding a few more hydrants to go from 12 hydrants currently to 16 in the next two years for a "town" of about 1000 people.

I was just shooting like that more for fun than seriousness.
Like can you see the few signs on the door (can you read them)?

* I'm sure Dolby have their own internal power regulator with all the juice needed for Doby Atomas and Vista. The fire hydrant is just a bonus that the Doby house is sitting on a corner with a trio of traffic lights. I bet that transformer is noisy if you put your ear next to it. But, with Doby noise reduction just around that corner ...

HDR10+ or Doby Vision? ...Both or best worlds ... can't live without them.

So, what’s that now - https://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=206, a tad more than 20,000 views/day, each day, for this thread for the first 7 days of October? I guess that’s not bad given everyone (including moi) seems to be watching Squid Game

I have to admit it is all rather impressive considering Netflix’s roots as recently billboarded on Sunset Blvd. –

Friday flashback - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...c#post16763061

This year, no traveling is needed as the 2021 IS&T Color and Imaging Conference is online - http://www.imaging.org/site/AsiCommo...ion/Login.aspx
Includes courses like so –

Of note, there is also a workshop being given by two Blu-ray.com members which explores how color and imaging scientists effectively interact with color creatives to develop technologies and workflows that are ready to elevate image fidelity and creative intent for storytelling.

On a less cerebral Friday flashback note, 3 years ago to the day, something occurred off Alameda Blvd. on ‘the island’ which made national and world news - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...g#post15620014

b.t.w., the Sony Venice can/and has been used successfully for projects other than feature films, like so - https://www.laliga.com/es-GB/noticia...remios-sportel

* 'Squid Game', any good? ...Good for kids, good for adults, good for both?
Too many flicks not enough time...no time to die.
