Meet the Fear the Walking Dead Cast



AMC continues to tease their upcoming “The Walking Dead” spinoff and, in the gallery viewer below, you can check out new images of the “Fear the Walking Dead” cast!

Officially dubbed a “companion series,” “Fear the Walking Dead” is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and showrunner David Erickson and produced by AMC Studios. Co-Executive Producer Adam Davidson, who directed the pilot, is also directing the second and third episodes. The series’ first season, consisting of six one-hour episodes, will premiere on AMC in late summer. “Fear the Walking Dead” is currently shooting in Vancouver, Canada, and has already been renewed for a second season.

Set in Los Angeles, “Fear the Walking Dead” focuses on new characters and storylines, stars Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, “Sons of Anarchy”) as Madison, Cliff Curtis (“Missing,” “Gang Related”) as Travis, Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) as Nick and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Into the Storm) as Alicia. Also joining the cast as series regulars are Elizabeth Rodriguez (“Orange is the New Black”) as Liza and Mercedes Mason (Quarantine 2: Terminal) as Ofelia.

The Walking Dead is such a strong brand that it guarantees at least a few million viewers. Other shows are kept on the air with less, so this will do just fine, I'm sure. The Walking Dead fanbase is so big and diverse that this show won't have any ratings problems, and definitely so if it's good. It won't get as many people as The Walking Dead does, but I'm sure a lot will tune in, especially at first.

My guess is 8/30. Halt and Catch Fire and Humans will have ended and Hell on Wheels ends the night before. That also puts the Fear finale on schedule to end the week before the normal Walking Dead premiere date.

Walking Dead Spinoff Collars Southland's Shawn Hatosy

Ex-Southland cop Shawn Hatosy is hitting the mean streets of L.A. again, albeit under more apocalyptic-y circumstances.

The actor has joined the cast of Fear the Walking Dead in a recurring role, our sister site Deadline reports.

He’ll play a well-intentioned — but out of his element — military man with a soulful disposition.

The series, which launches its inaugural six-episode season later this summer, stars Cliff Curtis (Gang Related), Kim Dickens (Deadwood), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm).
