AMC's "Fear The Walking Dead" (Season 8)

My friend said this episode was half good and half bad. Some parts were enjoyable whereas other scenes (he didn't specify) had been poorly edited.

As for the ratings, it's funny how this series is DECLINING in viewership and The Walking Dead is CLIMBING in viewership.

Loved episode 5, the army isn't coming across well

The stadium looks like it's going to be key to the season finale, it'll be interesting to see if any flashbacks are used to show how many are inside (I'm guessing quite a lot)...

Liking the potential new cast regular in the cage with Nick, hope he's around a bit longer.

Really like how this series is totally different to TWD, I think the two can co-exist quite happily.

Not to mention, it's all new material for me. Since I read the comics, I can predict many of the plot directions of the regular series.

Episode 5 was a hell of a lot better episode than the last 4. Hoping for a decent season finale.

I was talking about the previous five seasons. Each proceeding season has gone up in viewership. FearTWD is in it's first season and each proceeding episode has gone done in viewership. People are losing interest. And so am I.

I find this series very entertaining. I think most of the characters are interesting and I like how they are evolving... When the episodes are over, I want to see more... that's a good sign.

Last I checked, I can freely express how I feel about a show. I have the freedom to voice my opinion. You can't tell me to leave this thread if you disagree with what I have to say. I may not agree with you and you might not like what I think about this show. You're more than welcome to debate against my view and talk about this series like adults.

Maybe but they are showing footage along with Season 6 of The Walking Dead too hopefully the web-series will work though i think each clip is a minute long, maybe i am wrong Walkers on a plane here we come

Yeah, it's a 16-part thirty minute special. Starts October 4th airing the first part during FTWD's finale and will continue with each episode of The Walking Dead's sixth season.

Dude, you are looking at this wrong, I have no problem with you or anybody for that matter, voicing their opinion. But that isn't what you did, you posted a silly YouTube video talking about all of the things "wrong" with the show.

Hate to say it guys but this series did not live up to my expectations at all. At times my wife and I have found it down right boring. Last Sundays episode was ok but again nothing to rave about. Maybe its because I am to much of a Walking Dead fanatic that I expected more I dont know. But we will be watching the final next Sunday but I aint expecting much.

I think people are expecting it to be just like TWD because it is in the same universe even though it is own thing.

Spinoffs can be hard to do sometimes. While I know FWD is in the same universe as TWD, I knew going in that it wasn't going to be the same thing. As soon as you can let the go and look past that, it might help people see the show in a different light.

A person like me that loves details and wants to know things that happened before/during TWD, this show is great. It helps expand the universe and provides more details and can give more insight to stuff going on in TWD.

I don't remember posting a YouTube video I do know that I posted a link to an article that brought up a few questionable actions that happened during last weeks episode. They made a few valid points that I agreed on.

My only problem about the show is that some of the things the characters do just aren't necessary or logically smart. Not to mention poor editing. For example, last weeks episode. Ruben Blades character was in one location and by the end of that episode he magically made his way to a stadium? Am I missing something here because that'd a HUGE plot hole/editing mistake that needs some serious explanation. The characters are annoying. And that's just how I feel about them. I don't care as much or become attached like I am with the main cast of The Walking Dead.

Honestly, the way I see it, FTWD is nowhere near in the same league as The Walking Dead is. And won't be unless some major improvement is made in its second season. I had hopes for this new series but I have been nothing but letdown with the show so far. There's potential and endless possibilities for this series but they keep losing their footing. Like, there will be a few moments during an episode that I will find entertaining; but that's only 10 percent of an episode. The other 90 percent is dull and boring to me. I don't have the same investment watching this show as I do when it comes to The Walking Dead. That's coming from the biggest TWD fan on this website. You know something has to be wrong with your show if you can't impress/win over your hugest fan of your franchise.

That is what worries me. I fear that after having to sit through this painful experience that the poor quality in writing/acting will somehow bleed into the main series and effect The Walking Dead in its coming seasons. I don't want that to happen. So what I'm going to do and have been doing is to continue watching this show until the season finale and bask in the glory of greatness that is The Walking Dead and forget that Fear ever existed.

Also, did anyone else notice a background character wearing a poncho similar to Daryl's? I thought that as a nice subtle nod.

Its weird how people on here are having trouble with other people's opinions on the show in regards to disliking it.

Apparently disliking something now is just spreading hate. If you can't handle other people's opinions, maybe the internet is not for you.


I don't mind the slow burn but the characters need a vast improvement. They suck and they're boring. Thats whats making this show suck.

Agreed. I have no problem with someone enjoying a show they love that I don't find that all entertaining. I'm not posting anything negative or trying to put them down for liking a show I don't.
