If I wanted to watch Drama, I'd watch Smash, Grey's Anatomy or The Good Wife.

As it happens, I don't watch Walking Dead for the human drama. I watch it to be entertained by human survivors of an apolocalypse killing the undead. Why do you think I enjoy watching Dawn of the Dead films or Resident Evil or Underworld ... I want to see more Zombie killing and a return to what we saw in the first season.
Sorry chief, but you are dead wrong. (pun)

The "Walking Dead" are the survivors who are living on borrowed time and on top of that are all infected already anyhow. In the comic, one of the issues ends with Rick reflecting to himself "We are the Walking Dead". Basically saying yeah we are suvriving, but we're all probably going to die soon anyhow.

wonder how rare this will be. The first half of the season was almost like a caricature of a really bad soap opera. The second half was great. (and i'm not some "must be zombie action!" person. I just enjoy good writing and good acting. I don't care if a single zombie appears). If this is rare i'll buy it just to satisfy the collector in me. I'm definitely buying Season 2 though for the last six episodes alone.

97.00 to ship to Canada after all is put in. A bit much....not 100% yet, and I have some time to think about it.

It's funny because I was mad at AMC for kicking Frank Darabont to the curb. However, the first episode that the new show-runner started, "18 Miles Out" was so much better than most of the series. I also found out that Darabont wanted
[Show spoiler]Lori to hide sleeping with Shane when Rick asks about it, instead of just telling him.
Darabont basically wanted to hold any secret the show had for as long as he could, stretching the stories out over several episodes instead of just one or two.

Under new management, I think Season 3 will blow the rest of the series out of the water. I have a lot of faith in where the show is going now. However, AMC better get on board and up the production budget. This season showed its limitations a bit. It's about time we see a full-blown herd and not even the "mini-herd"
[Show spoiler]that attacked the farm
.

First season is incredible from start to finish.

The second season, towards the end of the first 6 episodes, was starting to get a bit tiresome with the whole "searching for the girl" thing...thats something I wish they would have resolved by episode 4 because by episodes 5 and 6 I didn't care one bit what had happened to this girl.

The second half of the second season was great . I was starting to get tired of the Shane character though, he seemed like a great character to play opposite Rick but his part ran its course. **SPOILER** Part of me wanted to see him get offed in the 3rd season but im satisfied with what happened.

will buy season 2 for sure!

i pretty much agree with all of that. I thought his firing was going to doom the show when it turns out he was the problem in Season 2. Whoever runs the show now has all of my faith. They're not afraid of taking chances and they've really kickstarted the show. Just don't ever kill Darryl!

[Show spoiler]Well you definitely wouldn't like the comic then if you're a fan of Daryl!

I'd feel better at 59.99 but for 49.99 I would fall in love. I don't see it coming down that much though but I can dream.

They haven't done it with any other shows and the first season was a rare occasion for it. The first season was only 6 episodes and they wanted to release the dvd/blu right away to keep buzz up. The re-release was to get people hyped again for the new season. No other releases will have special editions further down the line because the show is back to standard form now. Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. never had any special re-releases. Season 2 will not of The walking dead. This blu release will be out in September and that's it

I'm in at $69.99. Worst case, it stays the same. Best case, it gets cheaper at Amazon or in the Best Buy/Target/WalMart ads.

$70 is a bit steep for me. I hope the only thing that make this "limited" is the statue character and that it doesn't have special features the regular version will have.

Agree 100%! I'm glad this is appealing to a lot of fans, but I just want the Special Edtion S2 BD.
