The scope is much bigger than TWD. Almost like a movie. Nice to see they're doing something that adds to the Walking Dead universe but isn't a rehash of the original.

Now I just need the two groups to stay in their respective shows. I don't need Marvel-like tidbits dropped here and there. The isolation is part of what makes the original work.

Didn't they say though that the series timeline will catch up with walking dead? In season 2, think that has already being commissioned.

Interesting, I hadn't read that yet. I'm fine if the timelines catch up. I just don't really want the two groups to cross paths. Even with what we've seen on TWD, there are enough disconnected survivors/groups to tell some interesting stories without making everything connected IMO.

this looks so damn sick. So much better and darker than TWD. Wow really hope this will get the same Blu-Ray treament TWD gets. Because this show seem to be a must own on Blu-Ray

Looks really good. Huge TWD fan but this seems more like Romero's Zombie films than TWD from the trailer alone.

Things could change once we get the actual season.

That's mostly due to FtWD being set in LA. By showing the initial outbreak the scope is automatically going to be bigger.

I love that we're getting an LA setting (being an Angeleno myself ha) and I imagine something similar probably happened in Atlanta while Rick was napping simply because - like you said - of the more densely populated urban area right when the walkers started appearing. Excited we get to see the outbreak from a perspective outside of the characters we already know.

Awesome trailer. Really thinking this will be better than TWD to be honest. Has it been confirmed how many episodes this will run? I figure the series will run from Aug 23rd to the week before TWD Season 6 debuts. Prolly a mini-series like TWD Season 1 was.

Also, anyone here was UK's Dead Set?

lol I'll just have to use this to take notes for when the zombie apocalypse comes rolling through LA. Step 1 - barricade self in street shop with retractable metal shutters.
