I just hope it's built well. There's nothing worse than paying extra for something that feels cheap

Yea I'm the same way...I immediately thought of Waynes World when I saw it. "It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine."

And I too hope it's not cheapy. I don't want to open it with the screwdriver for the first time and break the lock/release thing inside.

I keep hearing that this was an absolute abortion with no regard to entertainment. I'll still pick it up, regular edition seems fine.

You're talking about the second season itself? It was a great season, it just wasn't non-stop action like the first season, so those people going in who have no patience or can't handle watching an actual storyline unfold may be a little disappointed. If, however, you can watch a finely crafted story with some zombie action in between, you'll be plenty happy. There's more than enough blood and gore, just not non-stop, mindless gore every minute.

I'm guessing Best Buy will have this for $49.99 for the special edition and $34.99 for the regular. Might even be cheaper.

Seems like TV shows have been dropping in price a bit lately. Glee season 3 is only 29.99 at launch which is a huge shock. Few others have been pretty cheap as well.

Since I am a huge Halloween fan, I have to have the special edition. I'm just hoping it won't be over $50. But like I said, i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be

I'm willing to guess $34.99, but Best Buy did have Dexter season 6 for $29.99 this week, maybe they'll keep it in that range which would be very cool.

Talking about slasher cast podcast, ign channel surfing, people. It's all been in passing because at the time, I hadn't seen season 1 yet. But I kept hearing about a long ass search for some girl. Anyway, with the supposedly superior Homeland coming out on the same day, and with a lower price. Walking dead might have to wait. Comcast could really hook me up by putting season 2 on on-demand doe.

This!

I enjoyed the second season more then the first because they DID take their time to develop the characters this season. All this character development should set up for a phenomenal season 3.

Does it really lock when the screwdriver isn't in the eye socket? I just thought it was a handle to left the case open..... But that was just an assumption.

Breaking Bad (which had the same amount of episodes) was on sale for $24.99 its release week on bluray so maybe we will be EXTREMELY lucky. I think its more likely to see this for $29.99

I will agree that Homeland was better.

I agree that the zombie head is cool, but if I can get it for a lower price without the head I'll take it.

The entire first half of Season 2 was them searching for Sophia lol

It was a bit boring until the mid-season finale and then the rest of the season was awesome!

Watch it for yourself and make your own decision. Unfortunately, a lot of people were hating on the second season merely because it didn't take the quick and satisfying route that the first season did. Of course, the first season needed to grab people and reel them in and make them fans, so it had to leave an impression. At the start of the second season, we already have an investment in the characters, so the stuff going on between them is really intriguing. I would consider Season 2 a slow burn kind of season... the longer it goes, the crazier things get. It was quality television, IMHO.

Agreed. The first episode was great, but then it went downhill until half way through the series where it really picked up and became brilliant.

I watch both, Homeland & Walking Dead, and would be hard pressed to say which is better. They are both very good in their own way.
As for TWD bashing, well cable viewership records kind of put that nonsense to rest. Perhaps the criticisms you were hearing stem from the way the show is so different from the comic book?
