Is it freakin Tuesday yet! I can't wait to experience "The Walking Dead: Season 2". Season 1 was such a tease considering it was such a short season.

Yeahhh... I'm not exactly seeing the logic some of these people are applying. The head as of right now is cheaper than Amazon, AND, even if Amazon matches it, we still get a $10 gift card for BB. Not exactly sure how that seems to be a bum deal.

I have Prime membership but in my case the Best Buy price and gift card beats Amazon hands down this time.

No one considers you a fool. If you can get a better deal locally and that deal is worth the time and gas money it takes to get there and back then sure. No one is saying otherwise. The person you quoted was making a broader point in response to many of the posts regarding Amazon Prime and it's perceived value.

Obviously, right now the BB price is cheaper. I think what Pro-Prime people are saying that in the long run Prime works out to be a much greater deal.
I get BDs almost every week of the year, so Prime is costing me ~$1.50/week.
I get all my BDs delivered on release day, in perfect condition. This doesn't take into consideration all the other stuff my family buys on Amazon. Once you factor all that in, Prime is a total no-brainer as the best deal around.
Of course BB will have a few good deals, as they are really treading water to stay afloat. Actually over the last year BB has become very competitive with their BD price/selection. I say, GREAT! More purchasing options available, to me, the better!
I still think this Walking Dead sale is more an exception and not the rule, as far a great deal go. Amazon still leads the way, by far, in that category.

I will revisit this release around BF, hoping for a $20-$30 pricepoint.

I think the special edition is the zombie head. The tv series itself is the same as the standard blu-ray set....if I'm not mistaken.

I wasn't referring specifically to this release with my post. I was responding to the person who said spending $80 on amazon prime was a waste of money when its anything but.

If you can get this release cheaper at best buy then by all means go for it.

You do realize that people buy things other than blus from Amazon right? I had an oversized 154lb shelving unit delivered overnight for an additional $4. I'm damn sure that it cost way, way more than my $80 yearly Prime payment to get that unit halfway across the country overnight.

No. The only difference is the packaging of season 2 and the zombie head.
