As I said, the ratings appreciate hate watching too!
![]() I just wish I had so much free time that I could, not only, continue to watch a show I don't like, but then waste more time posting about it. Ah life before kids, so much free time. ![]() |

![]() Alex (Charlie) feels responsible for Jake (the jacked up teenager) in part due to the fact that she took his mother's seat on Flight 462. I'll admit, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but what does on this show? So, yes, I am giving this show another chance. After another good season of TWD, I decide to finish the last half of FtWD season one, Flight 462, and am caught up on season two now. It's not quite as insanely boring as it used to be. It still seems like it is taking an awfully long time for the characters to get up-to-speed on what it takes to survive in this world though. The contrived reasons to stop the boat seem pretty incredulous. They've been stopped dead in the water (pun intended) for about a day now, so the mysterious machine gun boat had better show up next episode. |

Enjoying this, I like the direction its going. Drug addict kid is my favourite character so far. The dude opening his eyes on the plane gave me a massive fright, the sound on this show is top notch. Also the crabs made me cringe!

I think the show is pretty poor to be honest. I'll continue to watch because I like the scenario of them being out at sea but the show is just poorly/lazily written and so much so it's almost laughable.
The characters are weak, poorly fleshed out and not really likable. They're all dumb except for Strand. What I find most damning is how much like later season TWD this is. It's already feeling dragged out only 3 eps in. What happened to the boat from the radio? Sounded like they were right on them but then nothing for 2 eps. Some very cliche moments already. Nick falling down to that walker in the ground was there to create some kind of danger, yet it's out of character for him to have done something like that (he's pretty smart and on the ball) There is a lot wrong with the show, way too much to bother talking more about it. I just hope it really ramps up because there is definite potential here with the setting. |

I don't understand folks here?
![]() They claim to want good writing, but yet they want this group(which everyone seems to hate btw ![]() Lol, to me that would be bad writing! Good writing is showing this group, early on, making bad decisions. Why? Because they don't have any advanced survival training(short of Strand), and they will have to learn on the fly. As I said before, IF society were to crumble due to a zombie apocalypse, I hope to God I fall in with some FTWD bash brigade because they would have no problem at all surviving. At least, that's how they come across on message boards. ![]() ![]() |

One thing I don't get is people who say "this show/movie has script problems/plot holes". But 99% of the people who say that NEVER go into detail. It stops right there. I really wonder if those people really have any clue what they're even talking about.
I also don't get why people are so mad that the group isn't automatically super ninjas who are just supposed to know what's going on the second it happens. They're kind of supposed to make stupid decisions. I'd absolutely love to see the people who complain incessantly about this show and TWD in a real apocalypse. It's totally a dream of mine. That's not to say I'd survive, but I also never pretend to be a self proclaimed survival expert. Last edited by Captain Flint; 04-29-2016 at 04:35 AM. |

This poster gave some details, one of which really jarred me too. That scene of Nick getting all clumsy on the edge of the cliff was cringeworthy. Yeah and the imminent attack boat that just conveniently disappeared. Oh and I'd add the way they ALL separated on the beach after a clear directive to stay together. Not one, not two, but ALL OF THEM separated. These aren't the complaints of self declared survival experts ![]() Quote:
