A more in depth article than what I posted earlier. From the Hollywood Reporter:
Quote:
I think they should have done an anthology series. Each season focuses on a new batch of characters. An anthology series set in the world of The Walking Dead would be incredibly interesting. You could set a season at the beginning of the outbreak, when people first start returning from the dead, there's looting, mass panic. We got very, very brief glimpses of that in The Walking Dead (Shane at the hospital, Atlanta getting fire-bombed) but a season set when the world is thrown into chaos and no one knows what's happening would be fascinating. You could have a season that follows, say, a group of former soldiers. Another season that focuses on a group of scientists -- like one of those CDC centers that went dark, that Jenner mentioned in the Atlanta CDC in The Walking Dead. You could have a season that takes place on the west coast, in L.A. There's so many possibilities. That and an anthology would help further distance it from The Walking Dead, which is a serial. |

I hope it has a bit more action than TWD does.

I'm doubtful of this companion show. It could be a hit or miss. Wouldn't it be interesting if the show failed?

Wished it was based in New York or Chicago. Maybe even Detroit, that would've been something. That way they have Cold winters and everything would be close by with a lot of groups taking over one building. Subways and all sorts of things. Oh well, maybe LA will do just that.

No. This isn't The House of the Dead. Just a little more action per episode.

I'm fine with:
- tight script writing - good character development - scenic locations - high suspense Those elements have been the smash success of both, the source material, and the show. I'm all for Kirkman & company keeping it that. Sure the zombie threat is omnipresent, but thankfully not taken to videogame levels. ![]() |
