Really enjoying FTWD - the most recent two-part episode (starting the 2nd part of the 3rd season) was well-done & suspenseful, even if there wasn't much zombie action.
I know a lot of TWD fans have relegated this series to the back burner because it's not really "part" of the regular series. However, IMHO this is a great show which has focused on the beginnings of the zombie infection, and I'm also enjoying the characters/characterization. The various interconnected settings (CA, the ocean to some extent, and Mexico) is also unique & interesting. In just three seasons, the characters on this series have gotten farther geographically than Rick Grimes' group in 7 seasons of TWD (where they still seem to be in Georgia, the same state where they started off from). The sequence in this last episode regarding the fighting over water use was especially fascinating; years ago, I read a prediction that in the future, people will actually be fighting wars over water/the rights to water. Doesn't seem that far-fetched at all, and the way this issue was presented in the show seemed very realistic. The "bazaar" where Madison ran into Strand (without intending to) seemed realistic as well. If we ever did ending up having a post-apocalyptic situation in reality, I'm sure open-air markets like this (where you could buy almost anything) would be popping up everywhere. So, there are only a handful more episodes in this third season. I predict: [Show spoiler] In any case, looking forward to the remaining episodes this year. |

Really enjoyed the first two episodes. Much better than TWD imo which has devolved into a soap opera with a CGI tiger.
But I was let down by the 3rd one. Didn't really buy Troy's 'breakdown'. Felt forced and/or rushed. I saw him later on Talking Dead, or whatever they call the Fear version, and heard him talking - turned to the wife and we both said at the same time 'of course'. At this point I just expect any actor on either show to be British lol. |

I think Nick may be the dumbest character to ever appear on any TV show or movie. The stupid idiot doesn't learn any lessons.
He's the most dangerous person in the Walking Dead universe. Even more dangerous than the psychopath brother. I may be done with this show. I'll give it one more chance, but this stupidity is beyond anything I've ever seen. |
