Default Netflix Turns Focus Back to Disc

Only use it for free Prime streams which I suspect is how the vast majority use it.

The main reason for Prime is free 2-day shipping on all my Blu-ray purchases.

Again, customers are not renting discs is the issue. 1st quarter last year Red Box kiosk income was down 16% from dwindling sales. Hence they had to add streaming and now next gen games because people don't rent discs anymore for the most part.

It is quite the farce, isn't it?

The guy can't admit to being wrong about statistics that he misinterpreted (and were pretty damn straight forward to correctly understand).

He not only keeps dodging this issue, but keeps insisting that I'm wrong based on of these other facts and the "general trend" that is happening.

Now here's the funniest part about this... since I never disagreed with him about the trend, and have agreed with what the general trend is (just not necessarily the current percentage of the market digital has, which was based on that statistic he misinterpreted), yet he keeps insisting I'm wrong about everything, it therefore must mean that if I am in fact wrong about all of the things that I'm agreeing with him about, in turn this means that he is basically saying that he is wrong about everything he's been going on about this whole time, not just the particular misunderstood statistic that he keeps dodging.

So, you heard it here first, folks! Per the defacto "logic" of slick1ru2, physical media is here to stay, and digital is dying a swift death!

Unfortunately for Netflix, their disc by mail business got ran over by a very big Redbox train. The good part is the Netflix disc by mail business makes up a large % of their profits.

Slick is a giant troll and has been reported to the mods. I'd recommend people to not engage him as he is disingenuously representing alleged facts as truth to create a stir.

It appears you UK Crackle fans will be SOL come first of next month because Crackle is closing up shop in the UK. I believe Hulu recently sold off their Japan unit.

You said that people in the UK are switching back to disc and the figures support this. So where are these figures? Everything I have seen shows the opposite.

It always comes back to life the same way doesn't it Rick, with Slick wanting so hard to stick it to physical media and it's supporters, prematurely posting up articles before he has properly read them, making himself look like a fool every time due to his lack of comprehension skills. The sad thing is, his bias causes him to only focus on sections that he thinks prove him right, ignoring other important key words or points (or misinterprets the meanings of certain words altogether), but in his mind he honestly doesn't think he misread the articles he posts. There is no point in even responding to him. Anyone who is pro streaming that wants to be taken seriously in these sorts of debates, would be best to distance themselves far from Slick if they value their credibility.

Well I think it is a combination of both Slick and Steed Cevolution. Because once one posts, the other one isn't far behind trying to disprove them. Given that both can never back up their arguments I don't understand why anyone falls into the trap that is this thread and engages either one. As Rick said, this thread is funny and I'll add, because it is so sad.

Yet you read it and then name drop people to stir the pot (in my opinion)

I provided a link to back up my argument which was about increased bluray sales in UK.

One thing I never resort to is calling out user names, it's not big and it's not clever.

I'm not stirring the pot, the stews already done. You and Slick are trolls. You are just on opposite sides of the coin. Like most, I've given up on trying to contribute to the threads dealing with any type of streaming. My advice to any member is to stir clear of any thread that either one of you post in. You both interpret things as you see fit and can't back up your arguments.

You are King Troll. I posted on here about how to use a VPN to access all the different countries Netflix content and you just couldn't stop from posting some dumb barb that had nothing to do with my post but was instead bait for a reply.

Considering your posts around here and your inability to admit when you are wrong, you are in absolutely no position to be calling anyone else a troll.

Considering how much of a control freak you appear to be it's a little surprising you can't refrain yourself from posting. Which btw fits the bill of being also a troll. And if you check I wasn't the one initially calling him a troll. But I have no qualms of calling you one.
